Guys this is AMAZING news. Edje seems to be coming home!

http://www.vi.nl/vi/show/id=62802/contentid=89142/sc=4a7b29

He and Ajax have agreed a contract for 1.5 years. If Tottenham recieve what they want for him the deal is done. And while this doesn't seem to be an obstacle as Davids is out of favour in London, it seems as though the first Godenzoon since Litmanen is gonna return to Amsterdam, like he promised when he left. :D

That's the best news this week, it would be fantastic if Edje would return, Jaap will be happy as well I think. We need a pitbull like him on midfield.

@Hope United: Leonardo has a bad temper and he is very selfish sometimes. This caused problems in the past with his teammates and the coaches.
He's a bit of a primadonna but our coach will definitely take care of that, it showed already in the game against Haarlem on wednesday.
He played well and more like a teamplayer, the connection with Klaas Jan was there and he made some great moves.
Ajax had troublemakers in the past with Mido, Zlatan so we're used to it and they will learn quickly I promise you that.

It's a done deal, Edje was already in agreement with Ajax and now Tottenham seems to cooperate as well:

DAVIDS TO AJAX 99,9%

Martin Jol has revealed that he expects Edgar Davids to complete a move to Ajax this weekend.

Davids has slipped down the pecking order at Tottenham this term and Spurs gave their blessing for the tough-tackling midfielder to enter into talks with Ajax.

Jol feels the midfielder is close to wrapping up a deal with a club he served with great distinction during the 1990s.

"We are talking to Ajax and I feel he has got an agreement, that is the signal I am getting from Holland, and we maybe have to wait 24 hours and the deal will probably be done," Jol told Sky Sports News.

Jol has admitted that the emergence of Tom Huddlestone at White Hart Lane resulted in Davids slipping out of the first-team picture.

"I felt it was good for the club to have a player like him (Davids), he had a good season but we have had some new players coming in - Tom Huddlestone is one for the future and I chose to play him," added Jol.

"It was difficult for Edgar to take."

that's great news. davids always was my one of the famous players and it's nice to know, that he's coming home. he didn't play much at spurs, so he will be hungry of football and that's good news for us. one thing disturbing me - can he play in uefa cup for us this season? i don't know realy, but i think he can't because he probably played with spurs already. it would be shame if he couldn't help us against werder

I don't know if he played for the Spurs in the UEFA cup. If he did, than he's cup tied indeed. Would be a real shame. :(

EDIT: I just read he's indeed cup tied because he played 20 minutes for the Spurs in the UEFA cup. :(

WHAT A GAME TODAY WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW AND WHAT A FANTASTIC WIN IN THE END!!

LEONARDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

SCORED THE WINNER!! 2-3 for us in Groningen, first half it was 2-0 for them but thanks to a beautiful goal from Jaap (scored like a striker) and Heitinga we pulled the score back to 2-2 and in injurytime...Perez struck the post and Leo scored. All the critics will finally shut up now, I have to admit that I had my doubts about buying him but he makes his feet talk and I think he is a fantastic asset for us and he showed that in a few matches already.
HtC was extatic and so was I, I watched the whole game with Pay per view (Tele2).
And more good news: PSV LOST :bouncy: :bouncy: against Roda with 2-0 so we are closing in on them. I knew this winningstreak had to end sometime so thanks Roda.

Jaap Stam is suspended against F..d next week and Grygera left the pitch injured :( but we have plenty of guys to form a good defense against 010 with Johnny, George, Vermaelen.

THE DEAL WITH DAVIDS IS DONE!
He will make his rentree for us next week against F..d.
I'm convinced that we will win that one as well in our own stadium, can't wait to see that one in person next week.

What a great day for us :D

Davids is home, we get a last ditch win by Leonardo(I have to admit he performs above my expectations at the moment) and PSV loses to Roda.

Yes and another good thing is that we get Davids for FREE! :D

Newcastle United made a bid for Ryan Babel.
They offer 7 million and their striker Luque.
Ajax will decide today if they will sell Ryan or not??

What the hell are they crazy?? :| Babel is one of our best players! :nape:
7 Million is not enough for him, even if they throw Luque into the deal.
10 million and Luque is more realistic IMO.

Funny thing though is that if we would sell him and get Luque in the progress, psv will be pissed cause they are still trying to get Luque on loan but Newcastle is not interested cause they want to sell him.

I only know Luque from his time with Deportivo and he was quite the talent back then, not sure how he is now but I think Ryan Babel is better.

So the only conclusion must be: NO DEAL!

All hell breaks loose if they sell him, the fans will not stand for it.

that sucks, thanks!

You better believe it, especially with the 'classic' against Feyen.. this weekend :boohoo:

EDIT: It seems that Juve is making one final bid to get him to Turin before the end of the transferwindow (day after tomorrow) but their bid is 1,7m IMO that's too little for a classplayer like Gryga.
Ajax is asking 2,6m, the chairman of Juve has asked Mina Raiola (his manager) to negotiate a deal on their behalf. It's his job to convince Ajax to sell him for 1,7m. I doubt he will succeed though.

The soap Davids seems to continue so it seems: Jol said today that the deal is not done yet and that the Spurs director is a good negotiator WTF :|
But AT5 reports that he was at the VU hospital in Amsterdam today for his medical??
I guess we have to wait what tomorrow brings but I'm 99,9% sure that he's coming home again and he wants to more than anything.

Oh yeah :bob: :bouncy:

Feyen... doesn't stand a chance sunday

I was browsing on the 010 network just for a few laughs and they are really scared sh*tless already :mexican:
Most of them think they will get a beating like in october (4 or 5-0)
They have no faith in Koeman (duuuuh) and in the 'old men' they call their squad man it's hilarious I'm telling you hahaha.
Most of the die hard fans say that we are much stronger and that we score within 10 minutes, after that it's all men for themselves and shooting galore for Ajax. LOL They are really scared for Leonardo who will be totally motivated to score against his old team and they're afraid he will make the winning goal like last weekend against Grun.
Not sure about that but that we'll win, yeah I'm sure about that.

Haha, I really hope we can slam them like we did in october, but if that happens we should go double digit this time though. :D
