From what I've heard he has been given pretty much a token contract of 200,000 a year, presumbably so he can retire on a high rather than after a season of mediocrity in serie C. I've also heard he has a son in the Milan academy, not to sure whether thats true though.
Has he made any of the matchday squads so far this season?

Yes, his son is Fabien Ba, striker of the Esordienti Regionali Under-13 squad.

Ba was signed to help Yoann Gourcuff fit in :D

Much like how Leonardo helped Kaka do the same (Y)
