A Question for UK/European Based Modders

So I guess it will be pretty easy to make the game believe you are in NA.

can I adapt this file to mexican-spanish text game language ?

From what I'm seeing, numerous people who have bought the game digitally around the world are getting the ESPN stuff - however, people who have bought the boxed copy are not.

I have the Digital Download but no ESPN scoreboard. I think I have the UK Edition, cause I only have UK commentary as well.

Where have you found that english_us.ini? I really want to try how to use that ESPN Scoreboard but I don't even find that file.

import the FIFA 12 registry key into the registry.

you need 32 bit if you run 32 bit windows & 64 if you run 64 bit windows.

you may need to edit the install location & language of the files.

I imported registry key but it still doesnt work (I get those errors when trying to load files). I changed the install location & language of the files, tried even by changing everything else (i.e.: "FIFA 13" instead of "FIFA 12" in the key) but it still doesnt work. Fortunately, at least the game doesnt seem to be affected by the registry changes. But I wanna be able to edit career.ini. Help?

Just managed to get the ESPN graphics working. There are two problems though. After it is not possible to use the Matchday Features for example, furthermore it only works if I pick the English language ingame. I'll continue looking at it, any help will be appreciated, too.

How did you manage to get FM 12 working mate? It doesnt work for me...

You say that Matchday doesn't work anymore. I'm not that fussed - unless it also affects the CM 'dynamic' commentary (comments about how many goals your players have scored etc) - is that the case?

It shouldnt, that has nothing to do with matchday. Matchday works in EASFC matches from what I saw, not in CM.

You managed to get FM 12 to work with FIFA 13 Doc? Im really struggling with it. Im thinking it's maybe because I uninstalled FIFA 12.

Yeah, that was the reason. I reinstalled FIFA 12 and now FM 12 works with FIFA 13 just fine

How do you make it think it's in NA? Do you have to insert any other like than DEFAULT_REGION = eng,us ?

yes agreed, he can easily do it himself, he doesnt need a modder to do it for him.



file master 12, google it.

browse to fifa 13 install directory & click on english_us.big & export the ini file, then do the same for your region, gb.

then edit it & in the data folder create a folder called region & paste the edited ini in it.

then regenerate the bh files.

I did all that and it still doesn't show the ESPN graphics. Bummer.

Cesc Fabregas, sackm, how did you guys do it? Im dying in here. Tried both en_us.ini and en_gb.ini. None of them works.

Yeah, my point all along, he is going to need a mod, a very small one but still.
What I was saying that it probably won't work by default.

You were totally right. I exported english_gb.ini, pasted that info you provided (I didnt have any english_us.ini in that .big file, I guess only NA versions have that .ini), put the edited .ini file in \Game\Data\Region and then regenerated Bh. Still, I get no ESPN graphics in Career Mode with Arsenal. And I managed to edit cmsettings.ini, locale.ini just earlier, so Im pretty sure it's not something I did wrong, even though I'm not a modder and I usually dont do stuff like that.

I guess there's another line that needs to be put in that .ini file, or maybe somewhere else. But of course I have no idea what/where, cause I am no modder

You need to export and open your language ini, for example for German people german_de.ini, included in german_de.big and regenerate it with FHL BH Editor for example.

Insert this into the ini, apart from the region off course.

Now open your game and select English language and it will work. I still don't know why it only works in english language and not in German.

Anyway, my copy arrived this morning and first off, I told it to install under English(US) - I'm not expecting that to fool it, but it's worth a try.

Guys -

I'm from the UK, with a boxed copy and I have ESPN!

Maybe it's because I told Origin to install under English(US) - maybe it was that easy to fool it!

Now to test this bad boy out!
