A black dream about CM & football

I was really shocked when I realize, no one use this elegant option on CM 03/04. Everyone I met, uses commentary or key option instead of full match. It seems to me that managers leave the stadium and listen their teams match in a radio in commentary option and that managers leave the stadium and sit their relaxy chair and watch their team matches in a BBC in short highlights (key option in CM 03/04). When the emergency moment they quickly phone their assitance manager tell important changes and turn back again their relax position.
I really never seen real managers about watch their teams games on the ground and never leave the stadium (FULL MATCH option in CM 03/04) even their team is in last place and the ongoing match 3-0 lost position in last 10 minutes. Maybe I am talking about some patiente and maybe I am talking about the majority of the managers are thinking CM as a simple and cheatable game and assume that they are the king of the universe (I label them as a heroic) at football manager games.

OR ,,, AM I wrong ? Is there any manager to watch their team games in full match and analyse every minutes of their team games even watch their team games again in video when arrive at their home after the match and/or weekdays before the next team game (in virtual world I mean).

It is just a curiosity of mine or a huge BLACK DREAM.

The mentioned black dream tells me, that official football rules changed in the end of this season as a every football matches play under 2 or 3 minutes condition and every team in the UK play 60 games in a week (Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday).

It is just a black dream of mine. But everyday I am closing more and more about this danger.

If you want to know pretty much everything that happened in a match, just use extended highlights. 90 mins? I doubt anyone could be arsed.

rndm.dc , I think you are new at manager games, if you could know the true history of all football manager games in human history, you wouldnt use for elegant circles as a stupid circles. Because it is really fantastic circles and just required little imagination and just required some football love. I dont want to start fight against full match enemies or key option in CM match window supporters, I have just a black dream and wanted to share with you. Please accept my apologize mostly about my limited english and defence against your circle explanation.

i did watch full highlight when i first started because i wanted to see where my tatic was working and where it was failing... it helped a lot.. now iv got a decent tactic after tinkering with it depending on its failings, i now just watch extended highlights......

1. I'm 15 and only seriously got into management games in about 2000, but thats still 4 years of wisdom

2. I doubt that there are that many (if any at all) people that would watch the full match. And to be honest if anyone did, they really need to get a life.

3. I love the game just as much as most of the people on this forum. But imagining those circles as real players? thats just plain stupid. They represent players yes, but they're not actually players.


Watchin the whole match would just get extremely boring and it would literally take days to complete just a couple of weeks.

Top premiership teams play at least 2 games a week these days. so lets say, a team plays 9 matches a month. to just watch those games, it would take 9hours!

including other things that the game involves, that would roughly be about 10hours a month.

so a year would take you 120hours!
Thats 5days! 5days worth of cm to complete just a year!


ITS JUST A GAME!! Maybe a pretty decent one, but its still just a game! not a lifestyle like you seem to think it is.

Which one is preferable for you, finishing 150 stupid season by using extraordinary cheating methods or trying to understand, first of all elegant football history in your beautiful country and then finishing analysed 10-20 season in a year ? If you really don't know who was Jim Bailey or how was Viv Anderson's defending or was Bryan Robson and Norman Whiteside are really good dynamos ; can we honestly talk about your football future in a near or long-term ? :kader:

You're a funny guy, really.:D Anyway, one doesnt have to know the names of the past to have a good acknowledge of the game football itself. It helps of course, but it isnt a pre-requisite.

Which one is more memorable ?

finishing 150 football season by using extraordinary cheating techniques and lost restart model OR finishing memorable 10-20 season with fair play - in a year ?

I think many of the cheaters or fast finishers must not go to any live football matches, there is no way to know the result in a few minutes. But please give my black dream a little chance and support your own excellent managing models, then we will have a chance to see quick finish matches in a near future and we will have a chance to watch 20 games with same team in a day in real-life.

why is not watching full matches cheating? I don't use any cheat tactics, I create my own tactics, I dont use any editors and I don't do the add manager trick. And yes, I do go to live matches, almost all home matches of the team of my home town.

If you enjoy playing it like that, please do. I wouldn't, so I won't. Where would I find the time to play KotOR, FallOut, RBR, CMR4, and so many other nice games, while still having time to meet my friends :S

im one of a select few who actually uses the full match option from time to time

true my lifestyle doesnt allow me to view 60mins all the time but every so often i do it. Im also stuck in my ways with how i watch the game, only during 'full match' do i select the 2D engine, apart from that its text commentary all the way.

I usually use the Full match option about 7/8 games a season, usually to see how my tactics and formations play out througout a whole match and to see how my players tire and so on.

The Full match option was definatly a plus to CM4, it allows tactical freaks such as myself to view how every kick of the ball is played out.

So Anfield Shadows, you are not alone.
