Not the most accurate description. Iniesta isn't Catalan, and Fabregas provided the assist. Also, Casillas did save Spain from the break twice.

And the whole Catalan flag thing is probably not to forget the biggest ever manifestation of 1,000,000+ people that took place yesterday in Barcelona.

Spain managed to put all the failures of the past to rest and finally win their first WC, playing the most beautiful football of the tournament.

Congrats all the Spanish squad, including best GK of the world without doubt Iker Casillas.

Why everyone's pointing out, spaniards' dives and no one says anything about Xavi's penalty and De Jong red card? Try to be objective even if you don't like the team who wins.

I've read things about the corner before the goal. lol. How can you find such an excuse.

And something about the assistent who had to raise the flag after the first pass. lol again. INIESTA was not in an offside position at the first pass too. Because he didn't have the intention to play the ball there. That's what FIFA refereeing rules says: If the player doesn't have the intention to play the ball the referee mustn't raise the flag.

Oh. Iniesta the diver... Great gesture by Mathijsen to go and speak with the referee after such a non-offside goal.

His name is 100% Basque, but he isn't.

His parents worked in Bilbao, Basque Country for some time before he was born and simply liked the name Iker so much that they decided to give it to him when he was baptized. His younger brother also has a Basque name, Unai.
