they are still injured

... Stop talking you sound ridiculously stupid and have pretty much every time you answer on these boards. I say you just go to Keegan's boot thread and thank him and that be your only post every day.

You are nuts.... Your ratings are completely retarded
For 9 of the 11 players you rated, you assigned grades either identical to mine or deviating only by one point. FAIL.

Altidore's touch was often atrocious, despite the fact that he wasn't put under as much pressure as he was against Brazil and Italy. The handball incident was on a clear goalscoring opportunity, and Jozy hit the ball at the Egyptian defender. It hit his torso first and then went off his hand. Altidore's best contribution in the match was staying out of the way on the Donovan-Bradley orchestrated counterattack which resulted in the second goal. I'm a big fan of the guy, but I know he can do much better than that.

I give Davies an "A" for effort and persistence, but I can't say he had a great game overall.

Dempsey - 6 (Needs to be benched for a game to get the message that he needs to hustle)
Only Bradley has done more running than Dempsey in this tournament. Not just of the US team, of any player in the whole tournament. Check the link I posted earlier. You can certainly criticize him for not being sharp with his passing and making some questionable decisions, but the man's ran his ass off. Besides, he's tired as hell after a long Premiership season, followed by playing 90 minutes in five consecutive games for the US.

How 'bout Gasperini? He would be the perfect guy to lead a sort of revolution of the Italian national team. Brilliant tactician, very attack minded coach. It'd be great to see Italy lining up in his trademark 3-4-3. We'd probably be a joy to watch. Maybe he's an option to coach in 2014. As for the other options you mentioned:

Mazzari: very young and talented manager, but he's still got much to prove. Pretty disappointing season with Samp, no fault of his though as Samp were lacking a striker and flirting with relegation before Pazzini arrived.

Prandelli and Spalletti: Both still have something to prove at the club level before they make a leap to the international level.

Mancini: not impressed by him, won only because he managed a stacked Inter team in a weak Serie A

Carletto: an excellent choice, shame he's got a commitment with Chelsea now

Gigi Nel Neri: no, good coach, but not national team material

Casiraghi: if he doesn't win the u21 championship with the stacked team he's been given he should just quit coaching. Certainly an option for the future.

How about Bruce Arena, he is Italian and not doing so well in LA.

I see 3 issues this game

Injuries
Bocanegra, Hejduk, Dolo, Edu, Ching
Spain can field a full stating lineup

Bob's ability to put out a good lineup
So far I rate him at 40% chance to being competent enough to give us a lineup. He continues to go back to his love child's Beasley and Sasha.

Adu
You probably won't see Adu, even thought the fans have been crying for Adu to see minutes. I don't know why he hasn't cause he is a beast at attacking players and was making Puyol look stupid in the friendly. The only reason I can see not playing Adu is because currently Donovan is afraid to pull the trigger so we don't really need 2 CAM who just wanna pass.

I just hope he doesnt put Connor Casey out there again, the guy looks silly, like he is playing rec ball at the YMCA, its embarrasing.

I agree about Davies, yes he runs around all day but so did Josh Wolf, davies is to small and besides the lucky goal I cant remember him doing anything. Altidore should never come out of the game. What we need to do is talk Mcbride into playing in the next world cup, he has been in good form all year and he has the talent to still play.

Ha! He barely qualifies as an Italian-American, let alone Italian. He sucks anyway, I can find a Serie C coach better than him.

USA did better at WC 2002 than Italy did.

That's because the USA didn't have to play South Korea in the first knockout round.

And what about '06, where you guys got knocked out in the group stages, and Italy won the whole damn thing? Bruce Arena was in charge then too, right? I like how you conveniently left out that small detail.

Dream Team

Starting XI
Casillas, Ramos, Piqué, Puyol, Capdevila, Cesc, Xavi, Xabi Alonso, Riera, Torres y Villa.

So................... good luck.

If Greece can win Euro then we can get lucky and beat Spain, its just not likely, I can tell you I would rather play Spain than Brazil any day.
