To make matters worse for Egypt, Algeria just beat Zambia 0-2 in Zambia, greatly reducing Egypt's chances of qualifying to the World Cup.

So player morale has already hit rock bottom... despite of the great performances against Italy and Brazil. I'm telling you, USA has a good chance in this game.

I don't know if I even want the US to win against Egypt. If we win, there's no way Bob Bradley is going to get fired. I can never root against the US though, so I guess I'll put it like this: if Bradley shakes up the starting line-up and introduces more skillful players like Adu and Torres, then I hope the US wins. If he goes with the same old s**t, then I'll still halfheartedly root for us to win, but if we lose, that wouldn't be so bad either.

Bradley really looks like he doesn't know what he's doing. Why doesn't the US appoint a manager outside the MLS?

Because managers outside the MLS know little about the MLS...is the sad truth....I would like to see a manager who focuses on more skill and less 'kick the ball upfield and run' which is what Bradly seems to favor....the US, has HUGE potential to become a real threath in the international scene but the style of play currently doesnt work against the real teams of international football

Iraq have the worst attack in the history of international football. New Zealand celebrated like they just qualified for the World Cup after the 0-0 draw.

They could have hired Klinsmann, but he wanted to have control over pretty much every aspect of US soccer (including youth player development, infrastructure, etc.) And he wanted a lot of money, which the USSF has, but feels is best spent for other purposes. I definitely think it's time to spring for a foreign coach, though. Look at it this way: England, the country that invented the damn game, has had two foreign coaches in recent years. We haven't had one since 1994. Sure, there could be someone in MLS right now who would make a great national team coach, but it's a crapshoot. Let's find a proven, successful international manager.

I say we give him what he wanted, the development in this country is awful.

Spain made world's tie record of longest unlosing sequence since the lost against France in WC 2006(35 matches)which is same as Brazil(1993~1996). Ahh I've watched Asian Cup 2007 and Iraq was awful. Sleeping during the match..

Btw North Korea qualified to WC by 0-0 draw against Saudi Arabia and Iran eliminated. Maybe the match versus US may be the most political match since 1998. Blatter thinks that football may solve worse political conditions.

no, the last defeat was against Rumania, 0-1 in october of 06.

USA line-up for Egypt:

2-Jonathan Bornstein
5-Oguchi Onyewu
8-Clint Dempsey
9-Charlie Davies
10-Landon Donovan (capt.)
12-Michael Bradley
13-Ricardo Clark
15-Jay DeMerit
17-Jozy Altidore
18-Brad Guzan
21-Jonathan Spector

Same ol' ****ty 4-2-2-2, no Adu or Torres. No fresh legs at all. I'm an optimist at heart, but I've just about surrendered all hope.

Zidan's absence is killing our forward line. The 2 players out there are like the 6th and 7th best forwards in Egyptian league...
Also our fast left winger (Moawad) had to miss the game too due to an injury...
Typical Egyptian player... plays with eyes half closed when its not a big team playing...

Anyway Brazil's winning 3-0 so we're through...
