I heard what McCabe said...shut up baby. Quinn yaps a lot too at the bench when the Leafs get a penalty and seems like he has no idea if it was the right or wrong call!

http://nhl.com/hockeyu/rulebook/rule67.html

"(a) A minor penalty shall be imposed on a player who interferes with or impedes the progress of an opponent who is not in possession of the puck."

"(c) A minor penalty shall be imposed on an attacking player who deliberately checks a defensive player who is not in possession of the puck."

I would watch more hockey instead of reading the rule book.

When you watch a powerplay, whoever they send out to screen the goalie battles for position with the defenseman. During the time where the puck is being passed around, those two players exchange cross checks, slashes, punches. And unless something sever happens, the refs let it go. Even Bob Mackenkie from TSN.CA agrees with me. I think Snyper, who probably knows more about hockey than all of us, will agree with me too.

What a day.:rockman: :rockman:

Finish Univ today, wrote my last exam and came home to watch the leafs actually show up and play there best game of the playoffs. Philly looks completely beatable and the Leafs should've stole game 2.

About time we see all of the big names wake up and hopefully they won't go cold again. Mogilny's goal was amazing, great pass by Sundin. Also, did you tools in Toronto read my post about the globe and mail writing BS to sell papers.:p

Back to the game. The leafs physically dominated the Flyers and exposed there weaknesses in defence. The penalty kill was actually made up of hard work and not running around praying they don't score. Also the PP was more effective then usual. I guess it was one of those nights when things went right for the leafs. Hopefully we play the same kind of game and take game 2.

Oh yeah, a local radio station here arranged for a 5am wake up call for Robert Esche and ordered him a Roast beef entree for brekfast. I doubt it was a scam because they got confirmation from a show member who was present when they got confirmation. He was later escorted out by about 5 security officers. :D

I agree that it wasn't a penalty. No ref would make that call in a playoff game. You won't be called for interference unless you in some way prevent a player from going to where he wants to go. In most cases, the player would have to fall down(from a hit) or be held up from joining the play for the refs to make the call.

Brashear did what any player would do: fight to win position over the defencemen. McCabe should've never had his back to him either and should have been focusing on moving him out of the slot. At the same time, if McCabe fell over on any of the checks, the ref might have called something but McCabe isn't a pussy.

I didn't like the play too much but I know that if I were in the refs position I wouldn't call it either.

Flyers got outplayed. Another horrible second period. I knew the Leafs wouldnt go down easy.

There goes Marchment trying to end somebodys career again. Whats this guy still doing in the NHL? Suspended 13 times already. And that non call on Moginly was bull****. Markov gets drilled head first into the boards. I wasnt happy with the refs tonight.

Game 4 - Johnsson will be back, Kapanen can move back to forward and our forechecking will be a hell of a lot better. Plus the powerplay will be better with Kim.

Marchment falls into the same category as Domi, Tucker, and McCabe.

You love them when they're on your team but absolutely despise them when your playing against them. Honestly, I've like Marchment on the leafs, just the idea of the other team knowing he has no problems injuring someone(not maliciously) makes him a valuable asset to any team. The opposing team always is aware when he's on the ice and has to worry about one more thing.

The refs were good through the first two periods. You can usually tell when you have good refs when you don't even know the names of the refs refereering the game. They were mostly quiet and allowed the game to maintain its high pace.(Y)

Marchment is a disgusting player. He openly admitted he tries to hurt other players. I would not support him if he was on the Canucks.

non-call on AlMo's check from behind on Markov was brutal. Thats why Philly got so mad and took those penalties hah.

What Bertuzzi did is probably the most disgusting thing I have ever seen. Yet in Vancouver he is still receiving a massive amount of support. I'm not suggesting you are supporting Bertuzzi, but that your fans have continued to defend his actions which are worse then any knee Marchment has given.

Oh yeah, you sound bitter about Marchment kneeing Lindgren a few seasons ago. Obviously your going to hate him after one of those, luckily he didn't receive his "revenge" from a Vancouver player.:ewan: :amika:

Any sane person who isnt blind knows that Moginly's hit on Markov was from behind.

Markov was facing the boards and Moginly checked him, therefore hit him from behind.(Y)

I see hope in the Leafs again! Go Leafs!

Hit from behind or not, I'm glad to see Mogilny putting some body in the game. I'm surprised and I like it. :rockman:

The Calgary/Detriot game is really good. Calgary just came back from 2-0 with two goals in 19 seconds. The arena was rocking after that happened.

Tampa Bay is looking unbeatable right now. even though they have played the 7 and 8 seeds.

yeh flames-wings game was good. Cujo made a few crazy saves.

Flames just work so hard that they are a tough team to play against. Same for the Sharks, but they have more offensive tallent.
