I want to see their pathetic arguement now. I wanna see what they're gonna talk about. I wanna see them bring up PAST results from LAST season. Stop dwelling on the past, arseanal. Stop dwelling on the Fa Cup and the 01/02 season. Stop dwelling on past victories that dont even matter anymore. Stop dwelling on what could've been and what could be because it wont.

ManU fans make the same erroneous arguments.

1) they overcame an injury crisis - Wrong!! They won matches after the team got healthy. That isn't overcoming an injury crisis, logic says you would have to play well when the team is injured to state you overcame it.....
1) We beat your team during our 3 month injury crisis.
2) I'd say that going through a period with that many injuries, coming through it still in contention for the league title (just :) ) and then winning it quite comfortably in the end make a pretty good case for overcoming and injury crisis. Not you're swiss-cheese logic.

2)they had more injuries than any other team - Wrong!! I have already shown stats that Arsenal had more missed games by frontline players, and it's probably true that Lpool had it worse than ManU.
Like when. The only real injury crisis I can remember Arsenal having was when they were without Vieira at the end of the season. Poor discipline does not count.

3)Beckham contributed little - Wrong!! check his assists and games played and rethink that position. That argument is used for the CL, but ManU fans eager to banish the boy have now added it to the EPL.
For a dead-ball specialist to have assisted on 0 goals from corners and scored 1 goal from a direct free-kick scored (which was in the final game of the season, when it was all said and done) in the league, doesn't show a great contribution there. No doubting his crossing ability but I recall Solskjaer making Beckham-esque crosses with ease when he was playing in that position. Not to slate Beckham mind but he wasn't vintage Beckham last season (except for 20mins) and the circus that surrounds him was no doubt a distraction to him and his team-mates.

oh God, I'm starting to sound like a Man Utd fan :(

While Utd have been great in America, I would advise anyone to take no notice of pre-season friendlies!!

Beckham was a cracking player for Man Utd but no player is bigger than a team. They CAN still win the league title without him and will definitely go close again.

uhh, Pires was still coming back from his injury, Ljungberg was playin thru injury for the season, Keown was injury-prone thru out the season which caused cygan to play which caused conceding goals

yes he didnt get many goals, but antithesis WASNT TALK ABT HIS GOALS U DUM***! HIS ASSISTS which were alot

my comments:
ManUre fans dont get too excited because you won preseason game, read it again PRESEASON. lol, only u dumb fans care abt preseason.
Ur talking about ManUre having more and better trophies than Arsenal in Europe. True, BUT NO-ONE MADE AN ARGUMENT FOR EUROPEAN TROPHIES the argument was for english trophies, and yet whoever posted the "11 trophies for arsenal 16 for manure in epl" is WRONG because the EPL has only been around for 11 or so years. and yes, manure have won 8 of them or something like that... who has won the second most? not liverpool, noit chelsea, not newcastle. Ever since Wenger has come to Arsenal, they have not finished 3rd or worse (always second or first) whereas 2 seasons ago ManUre finished 3rd. EVERY single year people say arsenal will not do good that season but they pull out first or second EVERY YEAR SO SHUT THE F UP U JUVENTUS FANS, have u ever even watched and english game before except for this on ePRESEASON game against ManU?
ManUre's gameplan last year was get beckham to cross and ifnd RVN or someone to tap in, they will now have to adjust and i think they will adjust very well. This post is very stupid... if i shwo u this post at the end of the season 90% of us will be wrong about what we are so sure about.

EDIT: my bad, i did not read the beckham part correctly. forgive my stupid comments on that one

I'm freaking sick and tired of people slagging off preseason. That's the excuse people have now "Ohh eets onlleee preeeseeeson heeeheeee". I dont give a DAMN it can be preseason midseason postseason rainyseason winterseason for all I freaking care. All I know is Man Utd were the best damn team in that Champions World Series. They were as tired, jetlagged, and unfit as any other team and they beat them just the same. Anytime Man Utd do well some git comes about and tries to make excuses. Accept it. Accept the facts. Man Utd WILL do well this season. They will lift that EPL trophy and I'm sure they have a good chance of others(including the CL). I dont care who was injured last season, who was flying and couldn't give a ****, who won the FA Cup, I DONT CARE. Enuf of this stupid argueing and come August 16th let the teams do the talking. Let the undoubted abilities of Man Utd shine through. Maybe then you all will put a lid on it.

welcome to the passionate Arsenal fan, we need more of them around here.

I didn't bother to answer the injury argument, but E4WC did a good enough job. Not only were Pires, Keown, Ljungberg, and Vieria long term absentees, which Monkee conveniently forgets; but there were also lengthy injury periods for Ashley Cole, Jeffers, Parlour, and Seaman, Aliadiere and Oleg.
In fact the only players who were relatively inujury free were Henry, Campbell, Lauren and Silva.
Add the inevitable Arsenal hating suspensions and the facts show that The Arsenal had a pretty decent season.

As for that 2-0 victory, ManU were at home and they won, with the inevitable referee's assist.
Proves nothing to me, because Arsenal got referee's aid in the Highbury encounter and spanked them in the FA Cup.

No ManU fan or worse yet a Juve fan is ever going to convince me that Arsenal best aren't better than United's best. Any serious analysis of ManU's season shows that it rivalled 1999 for receiving the most luck.
Not only did they have offside decisions go their way galore, like a thieving equaliser against Bolton and Leeds, but they benefitted from excessive penalties, non-awarding of penalties, and at least three last minute goals (not slagging that, because you play until the final whistle).

The worse argument I have ever heard, in any sport is that it evens out, because it never evens out with ManU.
For Pete's sake, that team is so blessed even in the America matches they get biased calls. God must be a ManU supporter.

Something just struck me to help your situation.

More excuses. Excuses excuses. If these referees are so biased towards man utd, where's the official complaints from Arsenal, Leeds, Bolton or any other potential victims? Wheres the scandal, the media frenzy? Oh wait, there's NONE. Why? Because it's not true. There's no bias. It's all sour grapes, hatred, rivalry. Oh lord save football from Man Utd! They cheat left right and center and poor antithesis is the only sane, moral one.

Referees aren't biased.
The CIA didn't encourage crack in Black communities.
Saddam actually won the Iraq elections because Iraqis loved him.
Fidel Castro is actually a cool guy, look how they cheer for him.
It's a coincidence that one referee awarded ManU 8 spot-kicks.

There are many seemingly incredible things that people make folly of, doesn't mean it's not, or can't be true.
I for one don't believe that Refs go to a ManU game intending to cheat, but, I do believe they get caught up in the ManU mystique and err in their favour.
It happens to the Yankees, Juventus, Bayern Munich, Brett Favre, Jordan and any other great franchise or player.
What's foolish is people denying it..........

Ok. So if the referees get all caught up in the big team thing, why dont they get caught up in Arsenal games? Dont they consider them a big enough team to choke on?

Errr dude, in FA Cup we are better too, you see FA Cup has been around for more than a century and Man U won it more than Arsenal. And if I`m not wrong the Spurs won it more than Arsenal too . . .
