In the current market hus worth is just about that. He knows the Prem clubs have more money now and he was around a top 20 player which equates to that salary. A different club would probably pay less because they need to pay a transfer fee.

He is going great but he's far from a finished product. He's far from worldclass to demand that kind of salary. 80 to 100k would be fair.

Marcel Desailly believes Raheem Sterling could leave Liverpool so he doesn’t miss out on a Premier League title like Steven Gerrard.

(H) Smart move.

Actually Man City would be perfect for him. They can offer more money than he wants and they have slow wingers. They definitely need pace and quality on their wings. Man City is the team for you if you're greedy for money.

Reading Sterling was booed as he collected his "Liverpool's young player of the year award".

I agree City is the best for him. They really lack pure wingers and Sterling wants money.

He wants no more than any other player, and that is to get a fair salary for his work. He is probably the best player in a CL challenging side. This side doesn't need to pay for a transfer fee so him asking for that salary is totally understandable. If they won't give it to him, he can collect 80k-100k at a title challenging side instead.

Sterling is asking for £150,000 a week salary from Liverpool. What an ass. He is far from a worldclass player but he thinks he already is. Part of this is because he has been overhyped everywhere especially the English media. Looks like he may be on his way out and I wonder which team would be willing to offer him that much. He is too ugly for Real Madrid so that's out of question.

Liverpool should pay it. Unfortunately, these days you cant wait until a player realizes his potential before you can offer him the big money. They can either pay it, and he'll be a big star there, or they can not pay it, and he'll be a big star somewhere else.

Messi is in the top of the ladder, followed by Neymar which makes perfect sense because they are number 1 and number 2 players.

But their absolute figures are astronomical. A pay scale means that certain figures are not passed.

Not in Barcelona. There are different classes, the point is none makes more than Messi for example, even if you get him from a PSG or City were wages are huge. Thiago Silva didn't join Barcelona because of this.

That's not really a pay scale. That's ego-stroking. I can't wait for when Messi declines and someone starts earning more than him.

So I guess you've heard that Raheem Greedypants Sterling wants to leave.

Just you watch: Raheem Sterling wil become the next version of Joe Cole. Unfulfilled potential.

Oh yeah, and that Gerrard guy will be playing his final game. You know, I always felt that Owen would have been better than Gerrard if he made an effort. It just seemed like he wanted to be spoon-fed so he left for Real Madrid. It was good that he never won a Champions League title with them.

Sterling is not the next Joe Cole. I'm willing to take that risk and absolutely want Bayern to buy him.

BTW, regarding Bayern's wage structure, yeah there is one in place, but new transfers always fuck it up. Gotze's salary is a big reason why Kroos is gone. Kroos wanted more, which he was entitled to as the better player, but Bayern balked because they gave Gotze more than they would have under normal circumstances in order to sign him away from Dortmund.

The problem with Joe Cole was that he got injured and completely lost it after spending a year not playing. He was magic before the injury and even showed some semblance of it afterwards but there was no recovering from it.
