for a pc gamer yes

for the general public, NO!

i feel that it is good.
gameplay is better-almost same as fifa07 but defense of both CPU and human is better.CPU passing is also increased.
i like the free control of players unlike in fifa07 where players run on lanes(straight line)
shooting has also improved.

Pressing Sprint doesn't really do anything and the animation makes the players look as if they are either trying to run up a wind tunnel or running on wet tar.

I have heard it said that the PC version of 08 is last gen and only the 360 and PS3 will be Next gen?


Some good trick moves but you don't want games to turn into trick fests, like the way players turn and have control over the ball but the animation isn't that good and as I said the running is terrible, players can sprint with a ball without the big knock on just now the animation is knock on small 2 or 3 times the a bigger on but its lead leg well out doing these knocks on and it does look good.


Ball still feel to light, I will wait and see what the 360 and PS3 play like before passing judgement on it but as for the PC version this demo had better been alpha to say the least. But as in years gone past I was told EA don't release alphas or other and the demo is a demonstration of THE game.

If that is true then good help the PC version.

EA never cease to amaze me they released unfinished demo where the whole point point of a demo is to make you buy the game

It's just an educated guess. Ton so fpeople pirate music, applications, and games are no different. C'mon, of course many people pirate it!

Hmm.. I really liked the demo. So far from what I see FIFA 08 is way better then 07. Graphics have been upgraded... just not that much but they defienatly arent the same from FIFA 07.

Lets put it this way... FIFA 08 is the reason why the FIFA 07 community should pull together and release they're own roster update. Maybe then EA will release actual games and not updates...
But FFS this is EA we're talking about. If theres a quick way around. they'll take it. We've seen this happen to too many EA games in the past. Sad thing is 50% of my games are EA... so they can make good games, but as soon as they have mass appeal they dont bother with them anymore. Anyone who played BF2142 knows what im talking about.

Haha, sweet, I'm 97th on that petition. Do you guys think EA will give a da*n about it? I doubt it.

Sorry for late reply. AMD athlon 64 3500+ (running at 2.2mhz right now and i refuse to overclock) Im currently running 1gb of memory right now, but time for an upgrade soon. Honestly alot of performance comes from the GPU on the card which runs at a steaming 512mb

You've responded to the wrong part of your original post, which is why I said 'sales figures' - I know that the stolen version numbers are a guess, I was interested in the relative sales figures for the different platforms. I've never seen anything official but I'd like to know roughly how many copies of the FIFA games sell on each platform

people pirate games as much in consoles as in pcs
how ea is treating the pc market has nothing to do with piracy...

I still stand by my opinion on this. EA does have a large number of people who buy FIFA for their PCs. However, since PC parts are upgradeable and therefore can also become obsolete, they don't want to make those people with 8 year old PCs unable to play their new product. They know people will be lured to the next-gen versions, however for those buying it on PC, they want you to just be able to run it. They can't be bothered to have scalable options as far as graphics go. Oh no. That would mean a complete re-write of the engine to play like next-gen but to be able to look like 8-bit graphics. And, meh, why would they do that?

Oh well, I'm just as disappointed as the rest of the PC users that are used to playing FIFA, and will definitely not be getting the game this year.

Your probably right, its Fifa 07 v2 and I think EA know that. I'll be buying it though as 07 was a good game with some niggles. They have ironed out some of the niggles (switch to whichever defender u want though it'll prolly switch back because of the annoying auto switching that you cant turn off).
And I play online a lot.
