it's going to be tough. Sony's been the leader of the game industry a record 11 years now (while Nintendo was 9-10 until PS1 took over in 1995)......and it doesnt look like losing this time or the next (just control way too many markets) <X box is dead in Asia vs. Sony>
But the 1 thing that affects me is MONEY. And X box is aparently dropping prices for the PS3 launch.
1) The system is rediculously expensive (I dont give a **** if they have "Blue Ray" <which is an excuse to seperate the product from X-box).
2) Im buying mine cause of the games that I want which are
1) Resident Evil 5
2) Winning Eleven 10
3) GTA 4 (Tokyo!!!! ....lol, sorry I got excited there. But it's just a rumour so far).
I dont need much else. Sony lost it's edge when it lost many of it's "system only games" (forgot what they're called).
-Both systems have pretty much the SAME ******* GAMES. And X box will be so much cheaper, and the graphics are more than fine <the "Blue Ray" pushes it too much for me>
- Plus X box is getting Halo 3, which I've never been a fanatic of........but I admit is awesome.
- Also PS3's launch titles are mediocre right now and Im not planning to buy the 4506556565 games they make, just probably 10-12 in it's history.
Devil may cry 4 looks cool though.
The Nintendo Wii, believe it or not, might actually surprise ppl (and the market). Alot of ppl are talking about this and the price is very cheap (with games being only 50$$$, wow). Cool games too: M kart, Anime RPGs, Star Fox, Mario, Smash Bros, M Party, etc................plus a few other games like Zelda, and the new Resident Evil Wii <which isnt "5" , just its own series>.)
It looks great too, and the controller doesnt even look like a guimick , but actually the future of gaming.
Im a Sony guy, but ive never been "faithful" to a company. (Trust me, I grew up with Nintendo, but at 1 point when I was 13 and saw the N64 section had "Bust a move" and "Quest", while PS1 had "Final fantasy 7, Resident evil series, etc etc" , I said "enough is enough".
Sony might have ****ed up bad here (price cause of the blue ray, when launching a similar system to X box would have wiped the floor with everyone again).
History shows that this could be a crucial **** up in their history, but we'll have to wait and see.
But so far, I think the Xbox 360 launching its system 1 year in advance might have been the smartest thing after all.
