always that problem when you're 17, you know you can ALMOST CERTAINLY get booze, but theres always that lingering doubt they might ask you :p

cue embarassment :D

very true, i'm new tactic is to go into the local newsagent everyday to buy chewing gum and Mars Drinks (:D) and generally make conversation with them (they all come to work :p) that the one time when i'm like "oh yea, can i have a small bottle of vodka aswell please?" then they won't think twice about it, or find it too uncomfortable to ask for ID.

the thing that really bums me is that i have to pay adult fares for everything (bus, train, cinema etc.) without actually having any adult privileges at all.

being 17 pretty much sucks :(

being 17 really sucks. Suddenly at 18, you forget what it was like to be 17, trust me.

I'm 19, and cant remember a day when i couldnt just buy alcohol.

heh. i remember when i turned 16 the first things i did were buy a packet of ciggies (even though i don't smoke) and a lottery ticket. Like most people, purely because i could :p

i can see turning 18 being similar, just with alcohol and... alcohol.

Can PSP games be playable into a PS3 ?

Or is it only used for transferring data ?

sony didn't tell us too much details how psp will interact with ps3. it may works like a remote or something

If I wanted 12x660ml bottles of urine, I'd just pee in a bottle for a few days :p

Ah good old France - you can buy beer when you're 16, so I never went through the "beer = taboo" phase (H)

that would be a total rip-off of the DS to Wii remote, although the Nintendo would be cooler cause it's a touch screen remote

haha. microsoft :D

The official price was released today by Microsoft. The HD-DVD add on will be priced at $200. Much better than the rumored $500 but still when you look at everything in persepective, a $400 Xbox 360 with a $200 HD-DVD add on and a $100 wireless adapter, you are looking at paying over $700. The $600 PS3 that comes with all the same plus more.

The Wii should be bloody cheap in comparison. Zelda + Smash Bros on the Wii will be too amazing not to get it (H)

this is from PS3 FAQ's message board:

I know that PS3 games will be able to cross traditional DVD region boundaries. Also, I'd bet that Kutaragi would sooner give up his firstborn than settle for anything less than 100% backwards compatibility for the PS3. But my question is: will these two features overlap? In other words, will old PS2 and PSOne games that were zoned for North America play on a PS3 that was purchased in Japan? Or vice versa?

I have also heard that DVD movies will still only play in their regions of origin, even on the PS3. This makes me worried that it is only PS3 games, and not older Sony titles, that will be effectively region free, but I haven't heard anything about that either way.

If anyone knows the answer to this question, please, please let me know. For me, this question is paramount; believe it or not, the answer may well determine which next-gen console I will be purchasing first.

The PS3 is only region free with PS3 games,PS1/2 games are still region locked.

Both are ridiculously priced, but Sony can kiss my ass.

Sony have to charge that because they've jumped the gun with the technology. Blu-Ray being the potential successor to DVDs. The drives will, understandably cost a packet.

I've just spent £305 on an XBox. In 2001, I spent £300 on a new PS2.
