    Had a simillar problem, after looking around at a few d/l sites I found what appear to be two different versions of CC2004. From EA I downloaded Creation Centre 1.0.2.10, but from other sites I got CC2004_102101 . I was unable to get the version from ea to function, however the latter version...

    Had same problem. Go into 'dxdiag' and turn your sound card acceleration level down.
