how to get the d-pad to work!!

Hey,

well I know that alot of u guys want to play with the d-pad insted of the left analogue joystick... but I haven't seen any solution to it posted in here so here goes...

but before I begin, please no comments like, "why do u wanna play with d-pad, when it only got 8 directions and fifa suports 24 and analouge got 360°..." and so on...
some ppl just wanna play with the d-pad...

*This is a beta from wingmanteam...* Full info u can get from the link at the bottom..

1. Go here to upgrade to 4.30... choose OS and Language and download...
2.
Go here to upgrade the drivers u just downloaded...
3. Now in your directory XYourInstallationPath\430DriverUpdater\Both there shoud be a file called "DualActionCfg.exe"... run it...
4. Check "Swap D-pad/stick", apply and close the program...
5. Play Fifa with the d-pad and enjoy!

hmm i was really pleased to see this but i cant get it to work, wehn i install the 4.30 drivers it hangs on detection part , but controller still works inwindows ,so i update drivers and check the swap stick/dpad but still only works in agme with stick,

tried rebooting but still same ,any help?

hmm thats weird...
try uninstall the old drivers first..

i didnt have the old drivers installed when i installed the 4.30...
but there is one thing that comes to mind when u say that about detection... i read that u should not have the pad connected until the screen with the "u can now plugin ur gamepad" appears...
try that if all other fails...

it worked fine for me! so i dont think there is no problem with the dirvers... good luck!

i am using ps2 pad with usb converter, will it work with that?

also, have u found a way to disable shock/rumble cos my ps2 pad constantly vibrates when the game starts. it doesnt stop.

Thanks for posting this. I can't wait to try it. I bought this controller last night and the stick gives me fits. My thumb keeps flying off it and I cant direct passes to the right place unless I stop, turn and aim exact.

Short of that I really like the controller because it makes the other features usable.

I tried it and it works, but I don't use it anymore cause the gamepad has a lousy d-pad.
