i've been buying and wearing the same knd of boots since i was a little kid.
always the black and red adidas predators...never let me down yet!

I wear the new Predators, although I hardly use them.

Since when were they known as football shoes/ soccer shoes anyway?

THEY'RE BOOTS!!

Used to have raggedy cheap Sfidas that were fine. Then I got red and black Nike Tiempos

with that versatract thingy, but every match I played the ligament that runs down the inside of my foot gets in heaps of pain (this didn't happen with my sfidas though, but they're too small now). I'm guessing this pain is caused by the boots.

So my question is, if I get these Nike Air Zoom Total 90 III's

my.php

Will it help?

or could you guys please recommend another good value pair of boots?

What are those called? Is there much difference in performance if you have the laces on the side rather than the old school on top style? I've never owned side on laces boots.

I know that no one asked, but here's my opinion on the fancy soccer shoes....

If you are young and/or not very good (read NOT PROFESSIONAL), the type of shoe you wear doesn't matter at all. I hate every crappy player who goes out and buys the latest $200 shoes so they can look rich while they suck. There's no difference for 99% of players between the type of shoes you wear, the only time it will help is if you are at a level so competitive everyone is trying to get any edge possible; and even then there's only a marginal at best difference between the Air Zooms, or Predators, or (when I was young) Mercurials, and the $35 Adidas Bracaras that I see right now at the online Adidas store. Save your money for a good ball and a practice ball.

Too right, which is why I'm asking for a good value one (just one so that my foot stops hurting and works well).
