Would you please stop posting?

Thank you.

wtf's he got against mormons anyways? i'm not a mormon, but the less uptight ones are often nice, the chicks aren't as slutty, they make me wanna be a good person...or at least contemplate it.

^ other than the fact that they can be really annoying when they knock on my door and try to leave me literature... but yeah, they're generally good people otherwise.

All the pentacostals I've ever known however have been pure evil man..

How dare you say that about my people? Pentecostals are friendly, considerate, amicable, loving, caring, compassionate, gentle, warm, fuzzy, fluffy, cuddly people. Now take that back or I'LL KILL YOU!!!!!

Are you seriously pentacostal? figured you for a catholic or orthodox..

Anyways, not trying to generalize ofcourse, but my personal experiences were unpleasant to say the least. I worked for a company that was owned and operated by born-again christians, and every other employee (minus me and this woman) were from the same 2-3 local pentacostal churches.. and man, I've never experienced, heard, and witnessed so much open predjudice in my life. To the point were I was actually considering filing a formal complaint against the company to the Ontario labour board.

On my second day one of the company principals asked me what church I attended, when I reluctantly said "well, I was raised Catholic" he tells me with a staight face "oh.. well, unfortunatly we can't fire you for that". Not to mention the almost daily accusations of stealing and their attempt to cut my salary, which luckily I noticed... and ofcourse the expected non-invites to company social functions. I had it easy though compared to the non-christian woman that was there. And all of this because we weren't part of their club, and I know that's not what the bible teaches.

It was the first time I really experienced true discrimination man. Really made me understand what a lot of visible minorities must go through daily.

Anyways, didn't mean to offend and even still I certainly don't beleive all are like that.

I'm always shocked when I hear a story like this, because it's diametrically opposed to the experiences I have had with evangelical Christians. I mean, I've met one or two people of my denomination who I don't particularly care for, but what you describe is completely reprehensible. It's paradoxical as well, because the very nature of evangelical Christianity is reaching out to people and setting a Christ-like example, not excluding them and treating them like garbage. That's just pathetic, and I'm sorry you had to deal with that.

Ah it's alright man.. I'm feeling bad now for using the term "pure evil" earlier, seems uncalled for regardless of my bad experience. And to be honest, I've probably known more a-hole hypocritical fair-weather Catholics over the years from my own community than anything else.

I think a lot of the reasoning behind this company's behaviour was the fact that they were just really close-knit and familiar, even beyond the religion. In retrospect a lot of it could have just been a clique vs. new people type situation more than anything else..

anyways, this conversation is kinda unpleasant for Christmas time :(
