I use this turf mod:
Regularcat's FIFA 13 Pitch + Mow Patterns

I assume that you know how to install.

Also another tips that I use since years (it help but depend on gfx),
when you are into the match, pause the game, go to settings, lightness settings, now increase the contrast (one step).
Personally I don't touch lightness.
Save your profile @ end of the match, to memorize the setting into profile.
