There are some important news to share about Soccer Gaming and the future of this community.

New Management​

First things first, the forum is now under new management and is back in the hands of modders and long-standing community members.

It’s no secret that the platform has had its challenges over the past few years. There were recurring issues with functionality and performance that hadn’t been properly addressed by the previous owners. We’ve spent the last month working behind the scenes to fix some of the most pressing issues and improve the overall user experience.

Quality of Life Improvements​

Here’s a rundown of the key improvements we’ve made so far:

• Improved server performance for faster and more reliable functionality
• Fixed the search bug that skipped content from certain periods
• Enhanced search results for more detailed and accurate findings
• Fixed all HTTP and HTTPS redirects
• Users can now edit and update their signatures
• Added the ability to insert GIFs in comments
• Introduced a few new reactions
• Increased attachment size to 10MB per file and expanded supported formats
• Created a FIFA 17 Forum
• Moved the FIFA 14 Forum to the main page for easier access

Updated Rules​

We’ve also updated the forum rules. You can check them out here. Most of the old rules still apply, but we’ve made a few important changes:

• Patreon, BuyMeACoffee, Ko-fi, etc. — You can now share these links as long as the content is FREE. If any paid content is included, it must be released to the public for free within 7 days of the original release. Failure to comply will lead to consequences.
• Social Media Links — Social media links are allowed, but you can’t lock content behind follows or likes. It’s fine to include links to your profiles or videos alongside download links, but don’t force users to leave the site to access your work.
• Ad Shortlinks — This is an old rule, but we want to make it clear: ad shortlinks are forbidden. If you use them, your links will be replaced with clean ones, and repeat offenders will face a ban.
• No Invites — Invites to Discord, Telegram, or similar platforms are forbidden. We want to preserve knowledge and content on SG, where it’s accessible to everyone. Chat apps like these lack proper archiving and search functionality, making it hard to find information. Forcing people to join micro-communities just to access content or knowledge won’t be allowed anymore. If you have something to share, do it here!

Soccer Gaming is a community, not an advertising platform. Keep it fair and respectful, and we won’t have any problems. If you take advantage of these new rules, examples will be made!

Many of the old staff members have been inactive, so we’ve made some changes to the moderation team. The current active staff includes:

Future Roadmap​

We’re excited about this new chapter in SG’s long history. Here’s a glimpse of what’s coming next:

• A full SG rebrand
• A new forum theme with both light and dark versions
• A new user promotion system
• Modding contests with prizes
• The launch of a Modding Wiki
• A new main website
