Hi Guys,

In about 6 hrs, I will start my journey for a 4 month exchange. I'll be heading off to Toronto, Canada where I will take a semester at York University. I've got mixed emotions right now, but I am really looking forward to this experience. I guess it helps when you have like minded friends who decided to apply for the same university as you. :p

So pretty much I'm opening this thread as sort a blog for my experiences whilst I'm away. I'm looking foward to this life-changing event and I hope things turn out trumps. (Y)

Ah also, any Torontians are welcome to post here too. Local knowledge always comes in handy. ;)

if you can hold a fork, you can get into York... err, I mean welcome to Toronto buddy (H)

So Now you tell me I've made a bad choice! :(

Do tell why at least (H)

Welcome to Toronto mate...m also new here (its been a month) and i love it here...York University eh....good luck (Y)

York has a reputation of being really easy to get into... nonetheless I'm sure there are a lot of brilliant students and profs there, but it's just how it is :p but it was voted as one of the top 3 schools in terms of good looking students if I'm not mistaken... party school to say the least. if you don't get laid by some Italian-Canadian broad once a week by luring her in with your accent, I'll consider you a failure at life :(

For study abroad you want the ****tiest school possible. The credits count back at your old University, and if you have easy classes with stupid people, it's like a 6 month vacation. Should have picked a crappier one.

For some reason i was thinking that this was about trading stocks on TSX :(

Same here.

It's cool you're going to York. I'm finishing up my final year there. If you want I can help you out with locations and stuff like that. And it is easy to get into York which is why a lot of hot chicks are there.

In terms of Ontario universities:

If you are studying basket weaving, any university will be easy. If you're studying Theoretical Math(from what I've heard, you will only be scratching the surface of the subject after completing 2nd year), it won't be easy regardless of where you take it in this province.

Hi Guys,

Back in the swing of things lol. I had my first class yesterday and the prof was a really nice guy. A very intellectual people you Canadians are. (Y)
I must say this campus i've chosen at York is quite nice, lots of trees and the students are really quite friendly here.

As for the local girls they all seem just like rony said lol, Aytalian skanks, with long black hair and an all too unfashionable (altho they'd probably consider it otherwise) display of clevage. Not that I fancy them anyway :D (Shakes his fist at Totti and Matterazzi, oh and that smugf*ck Grosso too :f***:)
And besides I never was much of a harem-seeker, that always seemed too Turkish for me. :( One Love and Only One Love :p

Anyway there are heaps of international students too and I've met a lot of people, especially from my dorm.

I guess the only thing that sucks is the droning amount of time it took to get the internet going; Oh and for a bilingual university, the French language subject selection is pretty dire. :| I'm still having to get that changed. (:/)

EDIT: I'll be wanting to watch the Portugal - Poland game tommorow, what channel will it be on here in Toronto?
