Kettering Town, Conference North.

Weymouth knocked off two Premiership teams in the FA Cup in my first season playing with... well, Rushden (probably not appropriate for the Northants/Ketterin forum).

How dare you say that name in MY thread! :o

Well havn't posted inawhile as the forum refused to work :confused: I managed to win Conference North quite easily to be honest. During Preseason signed quite a few players;

John McLiesky (sp?) 12k,Striker, Signed him for his height
Charlie Lee, free, AM, Quality playmaker
Magnus Okungae, free, DC, played decent on loan last season
Mark Jones, free, DC, pacey centre back, good partnership with Theobald
Maynard, loan, ST, quick good finishing stats
Baradji, loan, LM, amazin stats, suprsied West Ham let him go.
Drench, GK, goalie was pretty shocking last season, so got this geezer

So now i'm rapidly losing my £1 million i earned from competitions due to wages :(

10 games into Conference National football, 5 draws 5 losses, bottom of league, Okungae & Watts injured..change for tactics needed as i'm gettin mullard :(

Incredibly, I went on a run of 12 games undefeated, 10 wins - 7 draws - 5 losses. Sitting Mid-table. McLiesky is pathetic, so he was dropped into reserves never to be seen again. Baraji & Lee look useful, but the main man this season has been Mark Jones the skipper. Maynard has been fantastic scoring 8 in 8 but then went back to Stoke after his loan :( But Shaun Goater and Simon Cox arrived in January and their immense. Lost in FA Cup 2nd round to Wycombe, lost in E.T  Anyway i'll keep you updated and hopefully some screens in the next post.

I like to start unemployed with these countries on, all with their lowest leagues/divisons.

So far works pretty well. I'm Tourizense (Portugal). Currently first after one game and into round 3 of the Portuguese Cup.

You must have an enormous amount of RAM. My 768MB means my PC would come to a full stop 3 months into such a game :(

Just got brand new 1 GB of RAM and that seems to do the job well. Does a fast processor have any effect?

HTT: Intel's trademark for their implementation of the simultaneous multithreading technology on the Pentium 4 microarchitecture. It is basically a more advanced form of Super-threading that first debuted on the Intel Xeon processors and was later added to Pentium 4 processors. The technology improves processor performance under certain workloads by providing useful work for execution units that would otherwise be idle, for example during a cache miss.

So it isn't, but I'd say 3GHz is still really good for FM2006.

Alright :) I had to upgrade for the game The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion, but I don't mind if it helps for FM too.

Made quite a mess of this thread but i'll just say Ive reached promotion to League 2 finally. And have a lot of screenshots to post later on.

i hammered the conference south with Weymouth with 103 points but was offered the Donny Rovers job and took it 3 games in conference national season 1 free transfer for conf north/south if u have the welsh league in search for Tim Nunnerley is decent back up despite his stats
