Some faces have more than one version, like Icons.

I checked and it's what @Losdean explained. Darker skin color should have a bluer light map

some faces have more that one variations of hair style, beard, etc., mostly like legends, how the style changed through out the years, e.g. Beckham's hair styles, etc.

Friend, don't take this as a mistake. I just think it's the conversion method... many of the hairs are very pronounced or somewhat shiny so to speak...

Well, their opacity are already decreased to 15 %
So if they are shiny, it's because EA wanted it that way

When I use hair from modern FIFAs I lower the opacity to 7%. In this way they are identical to those of FIFA 14. However, in some cases they can create problems and create tiny white areas. In that case I raise the opacity until the white areas disappear. But usually a 7% therefore a 93% reduction of the original gives excellent results.

That's why I settled on 15%.
I also didn't want to make them mat either

Ah OK! I understood that you had set 85%, therefore -15%. The English language and I are on two different levels. We don't love each other XD

Maybe try convert from the fifa 16 version of these faces,
It may be more similar to fifa 15
