Your Latest CD Thread

I just ordered 2 "best of" albums today from CDWow, one by Toto and the other by the Manic Street Preachers (Y)

Bought 3 Rappa CD's (actually, bought 2 and 1 was given to me by my girlfriend) - Brazilian members will know who they are, I'm sure.

Also bought Hard Kandy and Fila Brazilia albums.

I know O Rappa very well even though I'm not brazilian :p
they are great, among those 3 I hope you got "O Silêncio Q Precede o Esporro" which is awesome.

about Fila Brazillia, hail hail
I have 15 albums from the dudes, although none of them is a original copy :$

my latest purchase is 12 stops and home by the feeling

amazing album, every time I listen to it a differnt track jumps out at me as the best on the album - everyone of them is a potential single release

Yup, I have O Silencio. In fact, I have all their albums. I love O Silencio but I think Lado B Lado A is my fav album. Definitely an awesome band, too bad they aren't big outside of Brazil.

Anyway I bought the new John Legend album, great album! the guy has talent.

Just got this CD off of Amazon, saw this news clip on TV and their performance on Leno. It's two brothers who's music is basically a mix of violin and hip-hop. Love the album, it's really something different. You should definitely cop one.

^ Probably the greatest mixtape I've ever heard. Talib Kweli, MF Doom, J Dilla, Common, Asheru, Black Star, Little Brother, etc, etc... Great show too, for those not familiar.

^ laid back, hip-hop influenced jazz. pretty good..

Bro, is there a way that you could link me up with the Boondocks mixtape? I'd really appreciate it greatly, bro.

WHOA!

So far I've only given the first track a listen and if this is a hint of what's to come.....then I'm AMPED, bro.

Yeah, it's full of good stuff for sure, enjoy. I'm really into tracks 11 & 12, I'm kinda partial to the laid back/chill type stuff..

Yeah, definitely. This is my first exposure to Asheru and I'm really impressed by his delivery and lyrical content.

Including Nag Champa into this track was definitely a good touch on the producer's part.

Safe to assume that you're a big Common fan pre-Electric Circus, yeah?

Indeed, although there were a couple tracks on 'Electric Circus' that I really like (The Hustle, Aquarius), even though that album was kinda wack IMO. He redeemed himself with 'Be' though, that's for sure..

just added to my ever growing hip-hop collection:

Just pure quality, nuff said. its not often you can put a cd in the player, knowing that you won't have to excercise your finger for the next 'best' song.

Yeah, actually it IS often that you can do that when you're talking about greatest hits type albums like the one you got there... :|
