Vuvuzelas

The point brought up by Az is the main one.

When SA put forward their dossiers in however many years time for when they next want a WC; FIFA should laugh in their face.

Other than the national anthems, it is nearly impossible to hear anything other than the giant bees buzzing. There doesn't appear to be an end in sight.

I like em.. in fact I'd like to try sticking one up my ass and see if I could get it to sound off
Sounds like exactly what those african idiots should do.

With every new game it need to be said. Wish all the trumpet blowing ****s would shoot themselves.

the worst World Cup ever since now....vuvuzelas and **** football, only Argentina managed to play something diferent

I like how everyone is blaiming the 'africans' for the vuvuzelas, forgetting the fact that as of right now only two african teams have played and that if you watch the crowds a lot of European and South American fans are happily blowing the vuvuzelas.....so the problem is with everybody at the stadium not just the African fans...Either way the best compromise I can find is banning the damn things in any match not involving SA....they can use it, the rest of the world doesnt need them

South Africa ponders vuvuzela ban

South Africa's World Cup organising chief Danny Jordaan may ban vuvuzelas from inside stadiums after complaints from broadcasters and supporters.

The constant sound of the high-pitched horn-like instrument has so far drowned out much of the atmosphere-generating singing usually associated with games.

Can't see it happening, sadly. At least it's being brought it and made aware of I guess.

When you look at the crowds, its ONLY africans blowing these things. About 99 percent.

Stop crying. We're just on the 3rd day and its the worst World Cup ever already? Seriously...

BAN THEM NOW!!!!!

Patrice Evra said that the French players were unable to sleep well because the locals start playing them at 06:00 hours (SA time).

Its annoying on the TV itself, now imagine it on the pitch. If its affecting players on the pitch something should be done. As the organising chief said, "We did say that if any land on the pitch in anger we will take action."

With more and more players complaining, I wouldn't be surprised if it were banned.

hopefully a huge swarm of killing african bees follow the vuvuzela noise and sting the blowers in the throat and exterminate them all !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Stop complaining, Nady. You're such a whiner.

lol I'm not complaining or whining. I'm not too much bothered about them. But if its affecting players' performance, then I think they should take action.

From what I've seen, it's almost always South Africans who are constantly blowing those things whenever the cameras point to the crowd. It's almost like they show no interest in watching the action on the field.
Also, from BBC:
Thousands of South African fans queue overnight to buy 500,000 unsold World Cup tickets over the counter in shopping malls and supermarkets.
So they're pretty much everywhere in every single match (which is obviously understandable since they're hosting the tournament.)
