I gave him this, with some help from my good friend, CM01/02. I'm from Holland so I've seen plenty of him, though I have to admit I'm not a big fan.

You overrate him tremendously cymonguk. 19 for speed? I could see why you gave him that, but too high IMO. 19 for technique is ridiculous IMO.

One thing I really don't understand though is why you give him 14 for both response and positiveness. IMO, the higher these stats, the more tap-ins a player will get(ala Inzaghi). And van Nistelrooy gets plenty of them.

See this is the trouble with opinions ... thats why I prefer to stick with the CM stats, they are not perfect, but at least they are more objective, however the way I look at it there are a number of things with that set of stats:

Response: is low because although he gets tap ins he doesnt react that quickly to situations, he has a good offensive positional sense, you watch he doesnt dart into position, he is already there when the ball comes to him, whereas Inzaghi does get "response" tap ins.

Speed & Acceleration: I think he is quick, maybe 19 is too high hard too say...

Positiveness: I think this is more to do with "aggresiveness" and tackling, I wouldnt say Nistelrooy was aggressive but he is strong hence why his balance is high..

Technique: hmm I dont know .. sometimes his technique is great, the goal against Bayern and "that" solo run..., but I know what you are saying

dont take any of this personal this is why I prefer to base it on CM stats:

1) Does mean I dont overrate players often
2) Any players I dont know get decent ratings (and skills that match them usually).

but i cm i saw scores of nistelrooy that were 8?? 7?? isnt that a bit too low to pu in the game ?
btw it was cm 2000

There are some that are too low and so you have to round them up to 12 ..

Maybe you could make v.nistelrooij by taking the stats from winning eleven (i don't know if that's possible?
