I've weighed down my options regarding what to do after my grad next year and studying in England seems a good opportunity to get rid of my parents for a while and trying to make it on my own, at least for a few years. so I found about this particular university and the fees and everything (entry grades, profiles, etc) are ok plus it's like 2 hours away from London and 3 from Amsterdam which is pretty convenient (and fitting). also I've got a couple of friends who are up for it aswell so it should be good.


though I'm just curious about the county itself, with its cities (and the uni), I just know it's pretty big - 1mil people? plus they must have a football team right?

In the end went with Loughborough, Soton, Exeter, Leicester and Warwick. Are you applying via UCAS?

yes, I think so. I mean that's the only way to apply for it, right?

still, I've got 1 year and 1/2 of high-school left so I can think about it. though when do you have to send your application? I mean how much time before the school year starts?

I applied to Exeter and Warwick for my undergrad studies. I think that if you need to apply to England especially if you're an EU or international student, UCAS is the way to go. They take care of almost everything.

There's only one thing you need to remember - Sheffield only has one university, the University of Sheffield. Hallam is a polytechnic.

I didn't see Hallam on the Times Good Uni table. But yeah, UCAS is the way to go. My cut off date is Jan 15th, so yours will be the next Jan 15th, and you can send it off starting from September. It's recommended you submit around October and November so they can get around to offer you a place early. Cut-off date for Oxbridge is early October.

Is Romania an EU country? 'Cause if it's not, you should think about finances, or about marrying an EU national. It's 10k+ depending on the course, just counting tuition.

Romania is in the EU since 2007, and I don't know about the course yet. I'm studying philology here at my high-school so it's going to be something in the same area.
