I had done some tests several years ago and at the moment they don't work well. They often appear in tournaments and not in friendlies or it was the other way around... I don't remember. They are tests done 3 maybe 4 years ago. Another thing that doesn't work is that yes the patches on the sleeves were displayed but the settings of the specific shirts that have the front number different from the number on the back disappeared. At the moment I have blocked the development.

without freezing for a few seconds? and how do you see the shirts that have the number on the chest in a different color than the number on the back?

after update patch to 11.2, overlays disappeared, but just put the player.lua overlay rar into assets folder and voilà. appering again in both modes.

The RAR one gives problems in other parts. It adds one thing while removing other things. So it is not working.
