The Barclays Premiership Thread

Everybody seemed to be writin Man Utd off this year, I told them it wouldn't be as simple as that. Everybody seemed to ridicule me in the Arsenal thread when I told them their failure to actively replace Vieira would cost them even more this year, and they wouldn't finish second as they were predicting. Early indications suggest Arsenal won't be accomplishing that one lads.

Good to see the Gooners so low (H) not suprised, Henry hasn't got the games under his belt yet though.

I wouldn't get tooo confortable with were united stand, but i do agree that arsenal will struggle this season

After a 2 week break the Barclays Premiership starts again this saturday, and here are the fixtures for week 4:

Saturday, 9th September 2006

Everton - Liverpool
Arsenal - Middlesbrough
Bolton Wanderers - Watford
Chelsea - Charlton
Newcastle United - Fulham
Portsmouth - Wigan Athletic
Sheffield United - Blackburn Rovers
Manchester United - Tottenham Hotspur

Sunday, 10th September

West Ham United - Aston Villa

Monday, 11th September

Reading - Manchester City

Well we know which Arsenal will turn up don't we. 'Boro 4 - Arse 0. :funny:

Can't really see 'Boro getting a result. But you never know with this side.

Agreed, a really unpredictable side. Arsenal arent doing too well so Ill go for either a draw or Arsenal just scraping away the win.

We just havnt been finishing, on another day these first games would of been 4-1 etc

Middlesbrough usually do poorly at Arsenal (I remember them getting thumped at Highbury not so long ago). They, however, have a knack of knocking high ranking teams off their stride, but Arsenal are not high ranking at the moment.

Nah, I can see the Arse thumping 'Boro TBH. A goal or two from Walcott would be nice. That is a World star in the making right there. With more players like him (English and good), I could begin to maybe, perhaps, think about.....hating them less.

Whoops......Arsenal 0 - Boro 1 at half time

Chelsea 1 - Charlton 0 at half time

Everton 3 THATS THREE :funny: Liverpool 0....FINAL SCORE

Middlesborough played great. Boateng terrible challenge really let the gunners back in.... THANK YOU DEREK BOATENG:)

Results from todays matches in the Barclays Premiership:

Everton - Liverpool 3-0
Portsmouth - Wigan 1-0
Newcastle - Fulham 1-2
Sheffield United - Blackburn 0-0
Chelsea - Charlton 2-1
Bolton - Watford 1-0
Arsenal - Middlesbrough 1-1
Manchester U. - Tottenham 1-0 (score at 37th minute)...

Terrible loss for Liverpool, 3-0 against Everton is horrible:(

Not missed, saved penalties. Wonder who had the guts to make Friedel captain for his fantasy team?

Bullard has a nasty injury I've heard. Fulham's best player so far this season.

I know, we're actually Fu(ked. :( . I hope he's not out for too long, i heard someone on the BBC board saying they wondered if he would play again. :(
Ah still, another 3 points.
