SimIT! Stadiums Convertion

I didn't work on this stadium, but I'm curious how exactly you convert a stand into crowd points in blender. Can you post a better picture of one of the stands so I can see how the crowd is positioned, please?

hey bro, the la cartuja stadium in the night has a fail, it looks like late afternoon, but the illumination is darkness

Hey Guys

So one more stadium converted. This Etihad Stadium in Australia. I think it was converted from a Rugby game to FIFA14 by @gonzaga , @RobbieD_PL and @arsenal22, but I didnt have the crowd and glares.

It was the first stadium that I did using the new technique (at least new for me) using the tribune object converted to crowd. The good news is that works, the bad news is that is not so simple as I thought and cannot be used every time, But for sure I would take weeks to this crowd rounded with three tiers. Please give some feedback.

I hope you enjoy.

WOOOOOOOOOOWWWW!!!
I can't believe it!
I have never thought that one day all 3 main Melbourne stadiums would be converted to Fifa16.
Amazing!!!

Ps: This stadium is now called "Marvel Stadium". The naming rights were sold around 2018.
I used to live 1 block away from it.

I can put a picture later, but this ones are facing correctly. I had problem with other stadiums when some seats were facing different sides.

The convertion is simple, I duplicate the stand object, renome it to crowd, remove the material. Than in edit mode I subdivide the faces in small faces. I had also to delete the faces that were not supposed to have seats.

Im still testing, for example, I ve learned that triangule faces are better, because on Quads when you subdivide they will make crowds in line that doesnt look good in game.
Also, the faces cannot have the same number of division, so you have to split The faces accordling to the size of the main faces.
My Blender also divide one face in four, would Be better If they divide in Two first.

Any tips please share!

a video tutorial will be very usefull...i just converted a stadium from pes and i want to use this new technique

Another thing - you can simply extract crowd from PES6 stadiums. The str files have an use. I can share you the forum link if needed. Don't know if other forum links can be shared. I'll send you that thread humberto

Hm, I may try this. I don't know much about divide and subdivide faces in blender, but it worth a try. Also as @kingmuro said PES crowd meshes are useful. They might be more accurate in terms of grouping the faces in one mesh.

It's useful, because the crowds for PES6 stadiums were originally made with Stadium Builder, a program that helped to make stadiums for FIFA2003 to FIFA07. Basically, you export stands as faces and the program gives you crowds. Here is a video

This method is outdated, but in the end, it works if you can make the programs work at your PC. But you guys don't need outdated programs like Stadium Builder, ZModeler etc.

So in my opinion, if you want to convert PES6 stadiums, you should USE the PES6 crowd str files. Then, you can split them to make seats (eg. if a crowd contains 16 people, use Subdivide Edge Rings function, select the horizontal edges, then split them by 15 so you have 16 faces).

thanks mate! I will check it!

You are a Legend @gonzaga, even if you didnt work on the stadium, people will say you did.

I can vouch that he did try to work on a version of that stadium as part of an A-League pack. ;) There are more Australian & New Zealand stadiums from Rugby Challenge. We also got Aviva Stadium (Republic of Ireland NT) from that game. ;)

JAP - Niigata Stadium

Converted from Konami PES6, the model is not so good, but in the end for me is ok.

Great to see japanese stadiums! Thanks. Do you maybe have plans to do Sagan Tosu and Kawasaki frontale stadiums?
