Sco's Stuff

the second one is the coeff, but in frostbite colours. the third is the normal. the normal works as it is. the coeff however needs to be adjusted to 16's colour and transparency, in order to work accordingly
i guess i have to manually adjust it with Photoshop or something.
thanks for the feedback.

thanks for the feedback.
I've found the proper combination for this job using tokke's tool. go to OTHER->COLOR and set the Red to Custom value 128, the Blue to Equal Alpha and the Alpha to No transparent (255). don't check the Green. then take the outcome of this, open it in Photoshop and give it a transparency of 1%

yours was direct? if so, can i make the textures for FIFA 14 then convert it to a FIFA 16 texture?
I believe that only the size of the image changes.
Fifa14 is 1024x1024
Fifa 16 is 2048x2048

if I'm not mistaken that's it, but it depends on the size of the image that the RX3 file asks for.

thanks. i tried it, but when i previewed the boots in game, the game froze on the edit screen (it crashed).
That happens because your textures are "locked". Earlier versions of fifa converter had no problems with that. Use an older version to import your textures or simply "unlock" your pngs in photoshop and save them before importing with the latest version.

how do i do both?
i have two FIFA Converter versions (23.08.04 and 24.12.29).

If you open any texture with photoshop and it's named "background" it's locked. Just double-click the padlock to the right and click ok. Then press ctrl+s to save. (FYI I've had problems with some later versions of photoshop where the png is still locked afterwards). Import your textures with fifa converter by selecting Textures then Import. "From:" can be blank and "To:" should be FIFA 16, for fifa 16 obv. Click import and select all 3 files wich should be named shoe_id_0_textures.shoe_cm, shoe_id_0_textures.shoe_coeff and shoe_id_0_textures.shoe_nm and import to shoe_id_0_textures.rx3

@suggs2bme it sounds like your "fifa-life" would be so much easier and efficient if you started using the revolution mod to add stuff like boots, faces and everything else that you want. You don't play with the FIP patch, do you?

@suggs2bme Then you already have everything set up. Even a tool to assign boots to players easily. Take any boot you want that isn't already included in the FIP patch. Give it the id of 1313 for example. Put your boots in the "shoe" folder. Add it to the bootslist in the fip/boots folder. Just follow the naming patterns. Like this: 1313(press TAB, not spacebar)Puma(TAB again)Puma Future 8 - Black/Purple. Save. You can also put a preview png in the preview folder with the size: 128x128. Open the boot tool, select your team and player and then assign.. It does not get easier than that.

Revolution mod is already installed if you're using fip. It's like a kitserver for pes, basically. Shoe folder is located at the FIFA 16 folder -> data -> sceneassets.

@Ouattara already gave me a guide to handling this issue perfectly.

that's not the problem i'm dealing with though.
i'm referring to the coeff problem i had mentioned yesterday when i was trying to use FIFA converter to create the yellow Puma Future boots with the PNGs, and you suggested I "unlock" the coeff picture with Photoshop. I used Photopea to open it, but it wasn't locked.

I suggested that you should unlock any texture file wether it's cm, coeff or nm. If you still haven't checked the cm or nm and it still gives you the error, it's probably why. I can't confirm that this is a specific problem with the latest version of the fifa converter, but I've had it since the latest, so I always make sure to "unlock" every texture before importing now.

@suggs2bme Instead of importing the textures to an already existing rx3 container, just click on "create a new folder" or desktop and click ok to let the tool create a new file for you. See if that works.
