Thanks scouser09. Unfortunately without knowing how the hashID is set, we wont be able to add new teams (or should I say, we can but the team name will not display correctly ingame). I've tired a few combinations myself and had no luck.

Good luck with this project and lets hope a solution can be found.

hey man, how is it that u pass the data from one sheet to the other ? that point was never clear to me.

other than that, program seems to work fine. but a better version (the main project) would be easier to use ;)

G2000: There is some discussion in a thread on Rinaldo's site, you may find it interesting http://www.fifa-master.com/forum/topic?id=11&p=23 .

darkvajo: You can reference a cell in another sheet using the formula "=sheetname!A1" where sheetname is the name of the sheet and A1 is the cell in the sheet which is referenced. It is also possible to refer to cells in other workbooks. Good news that the tool is working fine so far! Let me know if you think it it is working well enough to release (just need to add the randomizer for the generic faces).

Thanks, I read that post a few days ago. If someone can compile that I'll give it a go and see what happens (but from the sound of it Rinaldo had little luck with it). I'll see what I can come up with and I'll let you guys know.
 
Here is a screenshot of the current interface:



There will be a few different languages/countries to choose from for generic names, Generic Oval has provided these lists.

The player appearance ratio allows the user to specify the chances of a player being generated to be of a particular appearance. I have used the same ethnic groups Rinaldo used in CM10 (Other 1 and 2 are for if any other groups are added, I will remove if not needed). Anyone have any opinions on these? I was thinking of maybe splitting caucasian into lighter hair colours and darker hair colours.

The program will also include generic graphics for each team from a small number of choosable colours so the team is ready to be played with as soon as it is imported with CM11 and added to a league.
 
how is the progress goin man ? I haven't got the faces ids yet but im lookin for em, this tool will be sooo good :)

Thanks, things are progressing well, will probably complete 1st stage of project during next 2 weeks (need CM11 for 2nd stage). For the face ids, they are in the field "headtypecode". I only need a range so there is some randomization, does not need to be complete. I will use CM11 to look at the full range of faces for the main project.

Does the excel team maker work fine except for the team name problem? If so I just need some face ids and then I can release it.

actually I havent use it because i already made all the work by hand. however, it seems to work just fine because all the fields are in the right order; it'd be a matter of putting there and then importing in the dbm table.

My program needs CM11 not DBM11, however since Rinaldo makes both it is quite possible CM11 will work with Xbox files. If so I will try and make it Xbox compatable, but PC is my priority. Also thanks for that link, it turns out that research related to another project I am working on is not known to Rinaldo, I posted in that thread since it may be needed for CM11.
