Promising teams and players this year

Micah Richards has taken another step up imo, Clichy is one of my favourite players to watch atm when he runs at defenders at 100km/h and i think Diaby will start to shine towards the end of the season

Arsenal has slowly lost its "championship material" with the departures of the more mature players in it's team.
Sol Campbel, Patrick Vieira, Pires, Ashley Cole, and now Thierry Henry. What Arsene Wenger is counting on is the development of his young players and i seriously doubt he expects a championship win this year, or even next.
In the near future yes, the now young Arsenal players would have matured and will form a team more than capable of wining the Premier League and the UCL.
This is a risky gamble by Wenger, but one that will eventualy pay off in my opinion, the Arsenal supporters will just have to wait and eventualy things will come toghether.

I don't think Arsenal are that far off this season, despite the age of the players they actually have a lot of experience, theres no way you can right them off yet especially with the lackluster form of Man Utd and Chelsea.

I think Samir Nasri will have a great season for Marseille. (He is touted to go us next season:p)

This thread is about players who we've heard before last season. There's no new material. Imo, one player to watch out for is an Athletic Bilbao player by the name of Sosaerta(sp?). He scored against Barca when they lost and scored a delicious free kick last weekend. He's only 18 or so.

Lyon's Karim Benzema is an incredible young player (he's 19), his ball control somewhat reminds me of Zizou's and I reckon he'll be huge.
so far this season he scored 8 goals in 7 matches in the French League and most of them were real beauties.

Which teams in UEFA Cup do you think is a exciting team, and promising?

Aye (Y). He has completely overshadowed the more familiar Milan Baros in Lyon. He's gonna be a world class player.

In my opinion the most promising team in the Uefa Cup this year would be Bayern Munchen... but of course we'll have to wait till the end of the group stages of the UCL. You never know what team will end up 3-rd place.

Plus, Arsenal have "Ewing Theory" potential all over them. Their biggest player leaves and everyone writes them off, followed by an unpredicted huge season. Two best examples: Peyton Manning left Tennessee and they won the National Title the next year and A-Rod leaves Seattle and they won like 120 games the next season.

Not exactly familiar examples to football fans.... how about Zinedine Zidane leaves Juventus, and they go on to win the next two Scudettos. That works. The Ewing Theory transcends all sports.

you should cite Bill Simmons, otherwise thats just plagiarism:p

Another player who is going to do very well this year is the Rangers FC right-back, Alan Hutton. Mark my words, he'll be worth big money in a few years time.
