and my question is if it will be possible to play with modded databases

My company edits an online cashdesk software. It's on PostgreSQL / php / Javascript. We update the database regularly, and the process is the following one : shutting down the database, making a backup, updating the database, putting the updated database Nox Vidmate VLC back online.
