mouse problem

Ive got a pretty annoying mouse problem atm. Sometimes (quite often actually) it recognizes a 1 click as a double click. So if I click on the internet icon, it sometimes opens 2 times. Or when I click on the x icon to close a program, it closes 2 programs (the 1st opened one, and the one opened after) Its really annoying. Right clicking gets really difficult.

Its a cheap 10€ optical mouse, usb.

Yeah, those are signs of a little wear and tear. My mouse does the same, as it's pretty old.

I only have it 3 months though I never had problems with it, when I had it in a PS2 port (with one of those little things, which you can use for USB to PS2) But my cat apparently broke the PS2 port. He played with my mouse and it dropped, causing it to fall out of the PS2 port and probably (I guess) damaging the port.

I dont have any software for it too, yes, it WAS such a cheap mouse I dont like buying mice or keyboards

i remember that ad. They were the company that took over from TINY... they were where i got my first 486 from . how i loved that computer... as a matter of fact, my Gran's got it and its still working
