Most anticipated album of '08?

nice, nice.

You can also list some cds that came out recently that you'd recommend aswell.

Not that i would EVER think it, but seeing as Coldplay are apparently the biggest band in the world: Coldplay's new album. (H)

Doves, possibly. If they pull their finger out.

Oasis. (Love you, Dragan) I keep daydreaming that Liam Gallagher can still sing. I'm hoping it'll be an improvement over the timid bore that was Don't Believe The Truth.

Arctic Monkeys. (Love you, Dragan) Judging by Turner's efficiency, it wouldn't surprise me if their third record comes out towards the end of the year.

The Verve. Very intrigued by this one, have no idea what to expect.

And I'd like to say Sufjan Stevens and The Strokes...

Rancid is going to release a new album in June.
And +44 is going to have another attempt at trying to be punk. Still I'm willing to give them a second chance.

Oh yeah and Dre's Detox, will it finally come? :p

Their new song sucks, actually.
And you know what sucks even most? The name of the album 8|

Anyway, I have say it's a tie between Oasis and Metallica.

was anticipating Rising Down and When Life Gives You Lemons, You Paint That **** Gold but they are obviously out now (and great) so my next two most anticipated probably are

Foreign Exchange - Leave It All Behind

Elzhi - The Feed

The Fratellis are releasing their new album on June 9 I think.
Also looking forward to the new Rise Against album in autumn.

The Mars Volta released a new one not too long ago, and it has some amazing melodies. Highly recommended if you're into their style. The chorus for "Ouroborous" is simply insane.

Shinji: I didn't know you were into Deftones...or were you being sarcastic? :(

HOLYSH!T! I don't wanna jinx it, but this could potentially be my most successful thread in my decade+ long career as a professional forum poster.

As I've said before, I've got a slight phobia against starting threads, but the responses in this thread of mine have somewhat restored my confidence, man

.....

Joseph Arthur

Black Crowes

Portishead.....i cant pretend that I was ever a huge fan of theirs, but I'm intrigued as to what they might have in store for us after such a long absence.

Silver Jews....anything by Malkmus, man.

btw, were any of youse aware that Coachella was like two weeks ago, man? Man, I hope that the official movie release of the event is very extensive and detailed because I heard that Prince headlined....his ******* ROYAL PURPLENESS!!
