This is, supposedly, Nani's foot after the tackle. If it's true, we're ****ed for few more games:

kin hell...no wonder nani was in agony. fck the commentators and the people(our own fans inclusive) who thought he was faking it.

and I hope carragher is happy with what he did. That pussy knew he wouldnt have been able to handle nani..so took him out.

"Deep gash"

A club spokesman said the Portuguese player's injury would be assessed on Monday, but TV images appeared to show a horrific injury that cut the player to the bone.

I do feel a bit bad for joking about Nani faking it earlier, but I was frustrated and you have to admit that it wouldn't been an surprise if it was nothing. Also the way he charged back up didn't make it look like ja deep flesh wound.

For real? He's by far the highest regarded player 21 and under.

I don't follow Serie A too much so no, unfortunately I'm not really familiar with him yet.

As far as your second statement...you rate him higher than Bale? He's only 21...

I didn't say anything about what I think, but yes he's better than Bale.

you don't follow Serie A much? or at all? anyway, Pato's the highest rated player 21 and under ... Pastore after him ...

Bale's alright ... he's got the tekkers, but not so much the vision ... if the game is not about counterattacking, I don't know how well he'd do ...

Goal.com isn't the most reliable source - but I hope it's true. Javier Pastore is the "next big thing" in Serie A. A very useful playmaker, exactly the type of creative player United's midfield needs.
I kind of thought Alexis Sanchez was the next big thing in Serie A...

I think we should be going after him.
you must have heard that during ESPN's World Cup coverage ... coz he's a star prospect in Serie A, but certainly not the league's #1 next big thing ...

yeah he has great potential but has some attitude problems may be.and about alexis sanchez he is superb and already world class but the wings are covered.
attitude problems? Pastore? what?!

I don't know, are you sure about that? There are some real question marks around Pato, at least as far as I'm concerned. Pastore on the other hand seems destined for greatness.

there are question marks over Pato in Italy too: not over his potential ability, but if he can fully convert it ...

there's no doubt that, in terms of percentage, Pastore has improved more tons more than Pato in the last year ... JP is adored because he is smooth and languid on the ball, looks the business, and his attitude is terrific, which makes him more likely to achieve his full potential ... but in terms of who has the higher potential, people who follow Italian football will tell you it's Pato ... whether he can reach his full potential is another story ...

Bale is a brilliant player but the English media think he's at the level of C.Ronaldo or Messi.

But that's part of it. If you can't realize that potential, does the potential really even exist? Pastore I'm sure is going to be a superstar, but Pato, while he'll have a good career, I'm not sure if he'll get THAT much better. He's already very good, but I don't think he'll be someone, for example, that gets taken in the first 10 picks in one of those drafts that we did.

fair enough ... from that draft, you already know I agree with you about Pastore's abilities ...

but I, and a lot of Italians and Serie A followers, think Pato will explode soon into the genuine world-beating article we know he can be ... and as a complete forward, he'd certainly be amongst the top 10 picks then ...

questions have cropped up only because he hasn't had a sustained period in recent months without injury, and he has had to force his way back into a suddenly competitive frontline each time ... but despite that, he has 11 goals in 12 league starts, which is pretty impressive for someone playing as a support forward ... and he showed a glimpse of his true domineering ability against title rivals Napoli last week ...

if he doesn't do it with Milan on the European stage before then, Brazil 2014 will give him the platform to announce himself to the world ...

IMO, Pastore will be right up there with him, but maybe holding the wrong type of silverware (if you understand the vernacular) ...

yeah pato is a different class very matured already but is prone to injuries.

pastore attitude i dont know i just heard it from someone somewhere

gareth bale better than pastore or pato or sanchez??? its difficult because all of them play different positions have different style of playing and different capabilities.

but i would love to see bale in Man utd other than any of the above. because he is great at set pieces compared to the rest(and manu really lack a specialist. has a great engine and would defend well if he was to play at left back. and having been following him he is a superb professional of the field also.just hate the part that spurs got the upperhand in signing him before MU the same story happened in berba case. paying 2 or 3 million more wouldnt have caused MU a famine. and then they had to pay 30m p at the wrong age.

I was surprised why Liverpool and Man utd never considered Van Der Vaart.

I feel sorry for Nani when it was his moment and Man utd needed him the most he got injured. same for anderson.

Still no news about Nani, but reports say that Valencia could play against Arsenal. I think it would be best if he'd get some minutes as a sub in the later stages of the game, starting would be a bit risky as I hope the CL and EPL are the priorties for the team...always nice winning the cup too, though.

Its not even the length of the injury that we should be worried about, but whether Nani will have the mental strength to come back and still be able to take on bitches like Carragher with the same fearlessness as he had in the past year.

Now you know wtf Ronaldo was constantly bitching about during his time in the EPL and who can blame him?
