Leeds 2-0 Fulham
Two goals from Mark Viduka secured a win for Leeds at home to Fulham and went a long way to ensuring their Premiership status.
The in-form Australian forward took his tally to 10 goals in six games and leap-frogged them above Bolton and their opponents into 15th place - six points clear of the drop zone.
Viduka scored early goals in both halves to send the home fans home relieved if not elated after a scrappy 90 minutes at Elland Road.
Leeds boss Peter Reid had called for his side to show "a reaction" following their lacklustre display against Southampton.
And his side responded by grabbing the lead after just over three minutes of the game.
The Fulham defence failed to react when Gary Kelly sent in a cross and Viduka had the simple task of converting a free header.
He could have added to his recent impressive tally when Ian Harte swung in a cross which Viduka was close to adding the finishing touch.

The 27-year-old then turned provider when he danced past a couple of Fulham defenders before slipping a ball through to his strike partner Alan Smith.
Defender Zat Knight, who was an early substitute for the injured Martin Djetou, did well to edge Smith to the pass and cut out the danger.
Fulham became more of a threat as the first half wore on but their play was often sloppy and they looked like a side that felt they were already safe from the threat of relegation.
The sum of their attacking efforts in the opening 45 minutes were long range efforts from Lee Clark and Sean Davis that failed to test Leeds keeper Paul Robinson.
Leeds went in search for the crucial second goal and Kelly played in Harry Kewell who showed a few neat tricks before firing a left-foot shot wide from inside the box.
When the second goal came it was Viduka who set it up and got the finishing touch.
His pass released Kewell and when his shot was saved by Maik Taylor the ball sat up nicely for Viduka who drilled it into the net with his right foot for his 19th of the season.
Kewell was denied a third for Leeds when his late shot hit the post, but it made little difference and Reid got his second win in charge of the club.

Realistically, I think it's time to call it a day. I can't see Bolton slipping up.
They are 4 points ahead of us. 3 games left. If West Ham can win two games, Bolton lose 2 and draw 1, then we're safe. It is very unlikely. Awww, I just wich it can be confirmed if we are up or down. The wait is so frustrating.
