FIFA 14 - First Details

Actually Teammate Intelligence feature is kinda copy of Proactive AI from PES 2013.

They really need to remove the 'push and pull' system they added to fifa, on of the worst ideas ever.

You will be sprinting past a guy easyily beating him to be in a 1 v 1 with the keeper then out of the blue you just start slowing down then the defender just throws you to one side and absolutly nothing is fucking given.

Happens to many fucking times.

true, they also have to rebuild the player marking system, especially when the opponent makes a counter attack, in the FIFA 13 EA Gameplay trailer there's a marking error, see here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ia43OgdBHaE
at 1:20 the Hamburg's number 6 will fail in following Huntelaar who then scores
even KSI noticed it:
www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jm_u5JLVju4
it's at 2:44

Is there any news about the 2014 World Cup official game yet?

Those are old PES trailers.

Ok thanks, wasn't fully sure, glad its not as that looked disappointing :)

One thing in the system of this game that needs to be addressed is the "crossed ball line A.I context sensitive slow down".

IE there is a line you can draw from the crosser to the ball dropping acroos the pitch, anything parallel to this line while ball is in the air will "look up at the ball" ... if your running to a player that about to get the ball as it lands you will notice even though your sprinting button fully down as the ball come over your head within that invisible line the system takes over and your player slows down to "think" what do do.

Its probably the worst & most annoying aspect of the context part of this engine at the moment. This is worse when its a lobbed ball over to a player parallel to defender and as the ball falls under this line the defender will slow up. Lots of people post this as the game cheating and scripting but it can happen anywhere on the pitch.

I am seriously considering to buy FIFA 2014 for PS3 after sticking with PES only since 2007. Last year's PES was so pathetic in terms of licensing and competition types and the gameplay hardly improved anyway. If PES still has its issues with licenses, competitions and no significant gameplay improvement, I'm buying FIFA.

Should have just bought FIFA 13 last fall, you would have had an enjoyable football winter.

I hope that FIFA 14 will be next-gen
Already clear it won't be next-gen. EA would have been been loudly promoting that instead of gameplay tweaks like Pro Shot, Teammate Intelligence and whatever.

...Oh! and they acquire the licenses for the kuwait and UAE leagues, next step, beware Kazakhstan! :lui:

why these lower tiered leagues and not any conmebol leagues like the argentine ?

every year ea says this and that and never follow through 100%, it is sad and i have heard enough of ea and the way they over hype what they bring us year after year.

most of south america plays pes, if they would get some conmebol leagues in fifa all the pes players would switch over, that is how they can make money.

EA doesn't show a lot of interest in South America (the fake teams in the Brasilian League, not important enough to negiotate till agreement), they are more interested in Asia. That's why they made the FIFA Online series. I think we can expect more Asian/Arabic leagues in the next versions of FIFA.

and they lost the UEFa Champions League liscense il a very very silly way, they didn't want Champions League anymore just to focus on adding leagues, what an error, and then PES came to add UEFA CL then Europa League, after that Copa Libertadores, PES 2014 will have AFC Champions League, go EA at least get us CONCACAF, CAF, and OFC Champions league

In addition to the Turkish league, they should also be able to play the United Arab Emirates and Kuwait in FIFA 14.

The Etisalat Pro League and the Kuwaiti Premier League could be added for the next installment, which is in any case that the tweet to ' Essam Al-Chawali , one of the commentators for FIFA 13 Arabic makes us think.

A new yet to be confirmed by EA SPORTS but (for confirmation) should delight fans of the game in the Middle East.

and,
Al-Chawali Confirms Additional Arabian Licenses For FIFA 14

Breaking news this morning that EA Sports have captured two additional league licenses from the Middle East region, adding to last years Saudi Premier League coup that helped boost sales of FIFA 13 in the Middle East and confirming EA Sports’ continued support for the MENA region.

A tweet from Essam Al-Chawali, who makes up the arabic commentary team on FIFA alongside Abdallah Al-Harbi, confirms that EA Sports will be bringing the UAE’s Etisalat Pro-League and the Kuwaiti Premier League to FIFA 14.

Translated in English by the FSB Arabia team;

“Wait for the UAE and Kuwaiti leagues god willing in copies of FIFA 14 that will also include my commentary.”

The Twitter account seems legit and given his involvement as a commentator for Al-Jazeera and the FIFA franchise we can assume that this story has some truth behind it. Further support comes from an alternative tweet by Al-Jazeera commentator Haffid Al-Drajji.

Translated in English by the FSB Arabia team;

“The addition of the Kuwaiti and Emirati leagues in FIFA14 is now complete with the vocals of my amazing colleague Essam Al-Chawali.”

We are currently awaiting confirmation from EA Sports, however, we believe this will be announced at a later date by EA’s distributor in the Middle East, RED Entertainment Distribution. This represents another significant gesture of faith for Arabic fans from EA Sports, in lieu of the major news that Konami had snapped up the Asian Champions League license two weeks ago.

Could EA Sports have more league licenses in store for FIFA 14? Let us know your hopes, dreams and wishes.
