Sky not showing the replay of the tackle, but Eduardo down with a definate broken leg. Not looking good. Everyone shell-shocked, looks like a bad one.

Yeah, mentioned it in the Arsenal thread too, poor Eduardo, think his career will be over after that.

I saw the incident as it happened, feel ill just thinking about it, not surprised there's no replays shown of the incident. Taylor's tackle to me wasn't pre-meditated (like Ben Thatcher on Pedro Mendes last season), i.e. went in with intent to injure Eduardo, but it was badly timed and as we've seen in many cases in the past, if you mis-time a tackle there is a risk of injury, and in this case, a very serious one.

Under the rules Taylor deserved to go, it was a late tackle and classed as serious foul play, but I think the reaction of some people on some other internet forums I've been reading in the last hour is a bit over the top, calling for a lifetime ban. I reckon the FA will give him more than a three match ban for a straight red card however.

Holy ****, that's terrible.

David Buust reminiscent imho..... hope Eduardo will be okay :(

Yeah, Dave Busst was the first thing that came into my head when I saw the injury. Poor guy never played professional football again, and sadly it could be same fate for Eduardo. :(

Anyway it has been confirmed that Eduardo has broken his left leg and doctors at the hospital are taking a decision on possible surgery.

That is just horrible. Don't think he'll make Euro 2008 somehow. Shame for the guy.

To be fair to Taylor, Eduardo did lose control somewhat and invited the tackle, but its just unfortunate that the injury is so bad. Good luck to the fella, hope he mends.

Definately not intentional on Taylors part. Unlike Eboue's bone breaking tackle on John Terry.

Not for the weak-hearted. Rivals or not, I feel terrible for the lad. Wish him a speedy recovery.

I still can't believe it. I just hope Dudu could walk normally after this.

Someone should beat the hell out that stupid prick.

Todays horrible draw doesnt even matter to me........ All I hope is for Eduardo to make a full recovery...... Shame he is probably out for a very very long time.... and the pain OMG....... my prayers go out to him.

It was a bad challenge, but there was no malice intended. Taylor was visibly horrified with what he had just done.

The result doesn't matter at all. May God be with him.

What horrible timing too. Less than 5 months til the EURO starts and this happens. :| I can only hope that Klasnic's remarkable comeback from that kidney-operation will spark him into some sort of goal-scoring frenzy in the months to come...but I may be clutching at straws.

Fu*king piece of fu*k. :(

I could only imagine how Bilic feels right now.

But, I'm not even that concerned about squad's huge loss.
I just want that Eduardo fully recovers and continue playing football :(

I mean, this has been an enormous psychological blow for Dudu. He practically started his dream career, and now this.

Wenger will stand by him though, so that will give him some confidence.

Sh*t happens unfortunately.

Busst's injury was a long time ago I think medics know how to treat such an injury much better nowadays. I'm sure Eduardo's career isn't over.

I can remember Cisse in 2006 saying he was glad he had an injury like the one he had (ie a clean break) rather than one like Owen. Don't think he'll make as quick a recovery as Cisse (that guy's a freak of nature) but he will in time.

I agree with Easyeasy's assessment of the incident . Taylor will be getting a strong ban but that is all.
