Any way to play with a higher refresh rate?

I've been playing the demo for hours, and the 60Hz refresh rate is giving me a major head ache.

I have a weird problem with the refreash rate. When I first played the demo I found my refreash rate was at 72 instead of 60. But I had the slow motion problem. To fix the problem I turned the Res down and made it medium quality. Now the slow motion has gone but the refresh rate has gone down to 60
Can't get it back to 72. Theres opions for lessing the picture quality of games with the Nivdia tools and also setting the refresh rate yourself instead of the program picking it for you.
But now I have the refresh rate at 72 or even 82 but still slow motion but this time with less quality graphics.
Tried all different combos
