Skoczek's FIFA 07 "Remaster" continued

He's sadly abandoned the project but he put in too much for it to go to waste, so how about we try to continue with it.
I'm by no means an expert modder but I can add the missing badges and competition logos, make some passable kits for some teams
I can also further edit the database, seeing as the OVR ratings are from fifa 07, some of them are too low. Back then there were no weekly updates and even the winter transfer update just transfered players, but not upgraded or downgraded them, so all the overalls are based on the 05/06 season. For example Mario Gomez and Sergiu Radu have an OVR of 70, despite them scoring 14 goals that season, a performance which bumped them up to 79 and 80 in fifa 08. Gareth Bale's pace is only 70 or so etc,
I'm planning on looking at every player and changing his stats accordingly since there's many players who are way underrated or overrated.
I don't know how to share my progress, if it's just the db file or anything else, so if anyone could give me advice I'll gladly take it.

Here's a few screenshots to hopefully stir up some interest.

I looked through the players and noticed just how weird the attributs were in fifa 07, you have fullbacks with 45 crossing or random 70 ovr central midfielder with 92 crossing, plenty of low overall players with just a random single attribute that's at 90 or higher. Also, many tall players also have high balance, which doesn't translate well to the fifa 14 engine, where short players have high balance due to their low centre of gravity while tall ones have it way lower. Potential also works differently, there's 20 yo players rated 75 for example with a potential of 75 or 34 yo players with high potential, this is because regens in fifa 07 are just the real players 'rehashed'.


Anyway, I can adjust the stats and potentials of all players in time, as well as making kits but I don't see the point in doing it unless someone can help me with getting at least tournament mode working. Right now the game crashes as soon as you enter it. Sure, single matches might be fun and nostalgic at first but it will get old fast.


So basically, unless we can get tournament mode working, doing anything else would be a waste of time.

I made a few kits and messed around with the db but still found no way to fix the tournament mode crash.

Before and after : Stuttgart's title winning team,I've adjusted the player attributes and positions, as well as adjusting the potentials, old players will no longer have growth etc
I plan on doing this for every team in the game if we could manage to get tournament and maybe even career mode working.

Added the proper logos for all the leagues, as well as the clubs from the 2nd bundesliga and the austrian, swedish, polish leagues.
Also changed the competition names (Telekom Ekstraklasa to Orange Ekstraklasa etc)

Great news, I finally got tournament mode working.
Also made by best kits yet for Juventus.

almost finished with the premier league kits, only west ham and wigan left
bolton and blackburn's were included with the patch originally, while arsenal 3rd, chelsea, liverpool and tottenham I found online, if this project ever gets finished and released I'll have to remake them myself or ask for permission from their original creators, but that most likely will never happen anyway

thanks, they're not perfect but at least most of them resemble the real ones, the toughest one was sheffield united, which I'm gonna remake because it simply can't look right on a modern shirt, the ones they used back then were way baggier
speaking of kits, whenever I try to add one to a team that has none at all, I get this error
I added the badge, bumpmaps and everything but whatever I try I get the same result, any suggestions on how to fix it?

it would be great but I don't know how to convert the fifa 07 db to 14, not to mention all the changes I already made to it would be lost then. I might create the big 3 teams at some point though.

speaking of kits, I'm almost done with la liga, although I can't add alternate kits no more because the game crashes if I do so
if you could help with the db it would be great, but how does it work? can I give you the db I'm currently using for you to add the romanian league or?

nah, I just use cm, installed the revolution mod and I'm gonna test it out to see if it still crashes

you need to regenerate after every change,i think that's why the game crashed when you add a third kit
