Zombie Movies Thread

Spiritual home on SG for those of you who, like me, are devoted fans of that most noble of genres, the zombie classic.

Cos let's face it, horror movies are only good if they have zombies in.

Not being a purest, I include certain genetic or biological mutation movies into the zombie genre, thus allowing the likes of Planet Terror, though certain movies such as Hills Have Eyes definately dont count. It's all a question of style.

I am currently halfway through writing the greatest zombie movie of all time and need inspiration. Therefore I need you to recommend some amazing classic zombie movies for me to check out.

I have already seen:

Zombie Flesh Eaters 1, 2 and 3
Evil Dead 1, 2 and 3
Dawn of the Dead (original and remake) and other Romero "of the dead" movies.
House of 1000 Corpses
Planet Terror

All of which (well, except some of the ****ty sequels) are absolute Hitchcockian masterworks of subtlety and suspense. But I need MORE. Not enough more great names spring to mine, so start recommending. What did Rob Zombie make to earn his name? What other obscure arthouse zombie masterpieces have been swept under the carpet? Feed me. FEED ME!

Peter Carlos*son's Braindead (also called Dead Alive) is disgusting really. but very good.

the Re-Animator movies are classics too

Oh yeah, Braindead is definately on my to watch list, didnt know it was zombies.

Havent heard of the Re-Animator movies but will definately look them out.
