nice. I actually bought this Hitchcock's Misteries DVD a few ago with 'The 39 Steps', 'Rich & Strange' and 'Young and Innocent'.

Ive only watched The 39 Steps so far and it was excellent. the chopper scene was laughable but there were close to zero special effects back then so who cares.
but yeah, very good movie. havent seen many Hitchcock films as an adult like to say which one is better

I've seen almost every Hitchcock movie - except for the really old ones (The Rope, 39 Steps...) - and yes, Psycho belongs with the best.
I've heard the same comment (The Birds not being that good) enough over the years, but I got my own personal reason to rate it as one of the best I've seen yet. :)

How many people alive can say they have seen the orginal 39 steps in the cinema? I can through sheer luck. I was in Peterborough and I passed an arthouse cinema, so I stuck my head it to see what was on and it turned out they had broken or lost their main feature, so they just stuck on whatever they had in the old stock rooms, and when I went in the original 39 steps was just starting.

To be honest, it really makes little difference with this particular film, but it was still cool. I do think it is excellent, just above Psycho IMO.

BTW, while on the subject of Hitchcock films, Dial 'M' For Murder was the second film I ever saw (the first being Bambi). I cant remember it though :p

Go on, tell us. Loads of people say that and the reason is usually something really weird and traumatic like being locked in a room with some birds as a child. It was a very groundbreaking film, but I wouldnt call it as brilliant as some of the others.

I don't watch many, as I said in my post, and you obviously don't have to like what I like and the reverse is true...
I'm just a little kid in a big body and I enjoy watching movies like the ones I posted... I'm sorry if I disappointed you.....

Goldfinger, Goldeneye, Live and let die, Moonraker... I dunno they are all rather good but I cannot remember half of them considering I saw them all when I was about 10 years old... besides the newer three... which are just sh!t... actually die another day is not to bad... the world is not enough and tomorrow never dies are just pathetic...

I didn't care much for 'the spy who loved me' or 'the man with the golden gun'... probably because I have seen them a lot... oh yeah and 'dimonds are forever' and 'never say never again' are pretty sh!thouse aswell... Oh yeah, and 'on her majesties (sp) secret service'... I hated that...

I dunno, I have seen them all... they are nothing fantastic... they are good but not GREAT... I wonder what the new ones will be like...

You put Uprising in you top 5 films, and only MENTIONED all those others there? That's really weird... ah well... we all have our own tastes...

But seriously... there is a reason why it was made for TV only... :crazyboy:
