Don't judge it before seeing it. Just wait till it lands, you might change your mind.

Xbox Sucks? That's the biggest load of BS I have ever heard.

10 Reasons why the Xbox is the far superior console over the PS2:

1. Value for money- is cheaper than the PS2 and you don't have to fork out lots for memory cards, hence saving on costs. No need for mulitaps to play 4 players.

2. Number of games- In Europe and Australia 80 games are available since launch, more than the PS2 after 5 months since its launch.

3. Controller- suits 'man's' hands, the PS2 controllers are small and fragile. Cna have 4 in one console.

4. Xbox Live- the FIRST broadband console gaming system ever.

5. In build ethernet port for broadband gaming, unlike PS2 which needs to be bought seperately.

6. In built hard drive- no need for memory cards and improves loading times.

7. Fastest and most complex graphics processor- means more fluid gameplay, more in depth graphics and ultimately a better looking game.

8. ONLY console to support 5.1 Dolby during gameplay, unlike PS2 which only supports it in FMV.

9. HDTV Support- enough said.

10. Halo- fastest selling video game of all time. 'nuff said.

Every year I see more and more people saying this. If it rocks, I'll eat humble pie. Until then, I won't give it the time of day.

Xbox Live support would be excellent, but since EA seems to just offer shallow ports of their games across all platforms (and is particularly stingy with the Xbox), it isn't going to happen. At least not this year.

I expect FIFA 2003 will be another significant advancement in EA's soccer franchise (greater than that of FIFA 2002 over FIFA 2001 even), but it will take a lot more than just building the equivalent of PES to gain player mindshare.

Once people get something in their head about a product, be it PS2 vs. Xbox or Chevy vs. Ford, it takes a long, long time to talk them out of it, regardless of how many facts you present.

Of course, the old saying still applies...

"Opinions are like ---holes... everybody's got one."

It depends on the PC, on an average PC the Xbox will produce superior graphics and faster framerates. Basically the Xbox can produce full graphics with NO drop in framerate whatsoever, expect EA still managed WC2002 to be jerky

It you have a top of the line PC then it would match the Xbox, but that's about it. Remembering that MOST PC's are not dedicated gaming machines and the Xbox is, but for those with dedicated gaming PC's then yes it would match the Xbox.

But knowing EA and its ports, odds are that it will just give the Xbox version PS2 graphics but at a higher frame rate, hardly worth the effort if you ask me. I mean EA should do what Bungie are doing with Halo. Bungie produced Halo for the Xbox primarily with its graphical and processing ability in mind and it produced the nicest looking game in a very long time with a flawless frame rate. Bungie are now working on a PC version, instead of just porting it and making PC players suffer with the worst lag imaginable they are reworking the title to suit. Why the fudge can't EA do that?

Everyone critises the Xbox, remember it is only a few months old. Many moons ago when the PSone was launched people were laughing and ridiculing it, now look where it has lead? You're all entitled to dislike the Xbox and love the PS2, but at least get your facts right.

Note: that last paragraph was aimed at a select few.

I gotta 32mb riva tnt 2 and its below average with the latest games.

I'm planning on gettin' a 64mb GeForce 4 and that'll handle all the latest games on full settings.

Cost: $165 AUD (thats the best deal possible imo) :)

So my point is that with a $165, a reasonably new comp u should be able to run the latest games on full grafix settings ;).

Well if it's a GeForce 4 then odds are that it will run games on full settings, but then you need to worry about RAM etc. I know many people love to upgrade computers for games, but if you want to same output for a fraction of the price for games grab yourself an Xbox cause it is seriously the only gaming console that matches PC's.

Elo Ratings
I read in Business magazine telling that X-BOX were sold twice more than PS2 & Gamecube in the second-quarter report after they dropped to US$200.

It also reports that X-BOX 2 will be launched in 2006.
