Xbox 360 Controller Issue!

I just bought Fifa 07 for the PC (naturally) but the Xbox 360 Controller I have isn't detected within the Game, The computer recognises it and all the Drivers are up-to-date but it only detects the keyboard, any help would be much appreciated.

did u connect the controller before you booted the game up?? sounds daft but i booted it before connecting the controller, and was messin with all the settings, then exited back to windows after about half hour of tinkering, only to find that i needed it connected BEFORE i booted it, u might not be as much of a nob as me and already plugged in before use, but its one of those silly mistakes that can occur..
