Most of us here use pc. and play our games on pc, so why not post it here its not about the games. its about pc vs the game consoles, I think pc will always be better because there is always new technology on pc, and the game console will be as it is for the next 4yrs. and with 64bit now on some mother boards. and there will be even newer technology added to computers what I do think we need to look at the money we spend on video cards, some cost more than a game console.

Anyone who believes the PS3 or XBOX 360 will be the death of PC gaming is just ignorant and narrow minded. Anyone with an ounce of brain power will know that this is just nonsense. The PS2 offered better graphics than the PC when it was first released and many people said the same thing.

yes but the proccesor of the ps3 is much more advanced than the current pc processors. And the ps3 is released in 1 year, i dont think pcs will have more power by than.
I think it will take years before the pcs reach the same level of power.
And by then.....maybe the ps4 is there already, and maybe again more powerfull than the pcs.

Consumer Pc's are far ahead of the Playstation, and will be for many years - if not forever. To say the new playstation will be more powerful is totally wrong.

Xbox 360 and the PS3 wont kill PC gaming but the graphics and general power will be a lot better than the PC for quite a bit.

Plus there's a lot wider range of games on consoles and they're a lot easier to use and set up.

it is true, the new ps3, released in 2006(I think) will have more power. fortunately, for people who play pc games, You'll only have to wait till early 2007 for the pc to level up to the ps3. Death to pc gaming my @$$

came on guys. with what you think that PS3 and XBOX are built with? ...PC components! And how do yuo supose that are beloved games are made? In PC's of course. And what about all that people that works in design, arquitecture, and movies special effects? you don't think they work with an PS3 do you?
PC it will ever be 100 steps ahead but is more expensive.

I would buy one of these unit for PES as the graphics and res would be good enough even to play on a small TV. As for sims ???


Once Nvidia release the next gen ( PS3 Graphic RSX chips, ) or its PC equivalent and we have 64bit duel/triple core processor to go with them, then the PC's will again blow the xbox2 and PS3 out of the water.

Well if PC gaming will die, it won't be because of performace/graphix issues, its gonna be due to the rising cost/value issue... Sure u can get a PC with PS3 capabilities, but it will cost about 6 times the price of a PS3.... The price gap between the PC and PS2 didn't use to be this huge... but the way video cards and processors' prices is rising these days could give some truth to this article...

But console's disadvantages will always remain the same... no hardware updating, difficult patch installation, limited multiplayer options, pricy Game CDs compared to PC Cds... etc.

But to say that PS3 capabilities will be 'incomparable' to PC is just ridiculous. Look how fast PS2 graphix became outdated by PC graphix. Its just the question of how much ur ready to pay...

My guess, its just promotional propaganda to raise PS3 sales.... sure it may have some truth in it but I wouldn't put my money on it.

PC gaming will only die when game makers find out there are ppl that dont even burn cds to play their games and try to end it.
