and for "skeptik", sorry but, some people said that your Malaysian Super League Teams has their rating stars too high, they expecting that your patch would be not as good as A-League or K-League. at the same time, They wanted me to decrease my Indonesian Super League's level either..

I hope you can do that, cause I'm gonna change my patch too.

I don't believe it is high. Where did they get the average? Has anyone did the official study on all asia players or teams.

Even Football manager (and CM prior to that) which I play too last time, they rely on volunteers and database made up by the group of volunteers.

It's the perception. An outsiders' perception will always different than us who watch our league frequently.

I read about similar subject almost every year, and sorry to say, I don't take it seriously up to the point I'm forced to humiliate my own footballer, as if they don't have 'on par' quality with the rest of Europe game or Asian football scene.

I study a few stuff related to sports science informally bit with interest.
We play in Tropical condition where troughout the year, it's hot 30-35 degrees in most places. As for the footballers, fatigues is one of the enemy created due to humid and hot condition, be it playing in the evening like 4:00 pm or even after 8:00 pm, where as EPL, Serie A, and other, have different condition. J-League and K-League also plays comfortably. But my, Australian footballer, already produced a number of international player, but their rank in FIFA09 a below other league. Why? just like us, the play in hot condition too. Unlike us, most of the team have excellent stadium and sports facilities.

So don't take it seriously.

Every person has their own opinion. I already study FIFA08 and FIFA09 style of gaming and based on my understanding, in my opinion, my patch is okay. But every person has their own right to change their downloaded patch, it's free, so everyone are welcome to change Malaysia League strength to the lowers possible, but officially, only my file is considered official MSL4FIFA09 release.

BTW, MSL4FIFA09 has their own followers at the moment, and mostly Malaysian and probably some from our neighbouring country. Billy, I use K-League and A-League as a benckmark, and I believe my patch settings is adequate.

Also I play A-League in FIFA09 in tournament mode when I first bought FIFA09 PC. I seldom play big team like ManU or Liverpool because I know it's no longer challenging. I play Tippalegaen but I enjoy K-League more. I't a matter of preference. That is why I'm very eager to play I-League by wwwescape (once finished) and Indo League.

I also download J-League and play. I enjoy average league than Europe leagues most of the time.

My point is, if you enjoy the game, you deserve your own rights to do what you think is the best. I strongly believe 90% of the downloader of your Indonesia League will be from your countrymen, so fulfill the majority with what they deserve. Remember, we are the underdog here.

For a start, our league never featured in the game like FIFA09 or PES2009. So, everything you did is already appreciated by Indonesian gamers. Be frank with yourself, but take others suggestion with full attention and consideration. If you think you league is on par with A-League, make it be, if you think it's below Australian, than make it lower.

We, the user-based patch maker will always support your works.

PS on't take my word above in negative form. I'm non-english speaker so if some of my word sound offending, I beg for forgiveness wholeheartedly.

So what are the star ratings of your malaysian teams?
You can say yeah if we had the facilities our league would be just as good or better than other asian leagues but the truth is they dont have the facilities and maybe thats why thier not as good i suggest that you put really low coaching staff for them on manager mode and make it that when you upgrade your coaching staff and train the the players improve a heap or something like that

I installed it on my other PC. But my niece don't like the changes. Now they invade my PC, the one that I use to create a patch. I have no choice but using laptop while editing version 2 of the patch, but it troubles me and the only solution was to reinstall FIFA09 in the second PC, and I can have my work PC back.

Again, it's a matter how we perceive the subject.

I was once an arcade gamer. Have you ever heard of World of soccer or Virtua Soccer?
I waste my money playing Germany or England against Brazil but most of the time ended loosing.

Some of my friend who is also a fan of Germany always complaining Brazil is over-rated team. Others complaining England is not the best team compared to Germany. But in the end, we fight each other. But I don't take it seriously.

That is why when I announce my patch, I write in my blog about my intention, how some people like to play like arcade game, all power-ups, or simulation gaming. It's never easy for amatuer like us to fulfill everything, so I just do what is best for me and if any other person, like it, there are all welcome to DL and play with it. Want to change, change it, but always remember to regards (or give credited to) the original creator with honest respect, just like we did to all patch maker here in soccergaming.

If my MSL4FIFA09 PC v1.1 is considered over-rated, then sorry for my bias. But did you try the patch, especially the v1.1? I already did the changes months ago, when creating AFF Suzuki Cup. Suddenly I have a feeling we are talking about version 1.0 which I call pre-season release. That version is what i call, test-the-water version, trying to understand if there is any interest on our side of the world, South-East Asia.

I envy Greek League Patch, they done it a couple of years already and they have a team. The same goes to FIFA Baltic. I already promoted Road to World Cup 2010 to my fellow friends and promised to DL once it is done. I respect them all. But don't be surprise if someone will complaining that their team is underrated, but other teams overrated.

I am, at the moment, in a condition of what I like to call, 'a solo pilot'.

Hey, why don't we propose a solution, just like CMS, we create a league ranking standard and maybe a team ranking or star. What do you thing wwwescape? I know you are one of the creative and active side on this forum. It's not easy but it's not possible.

We are talking about my patch right? Do you really think 14 team in Malaysia Super league overrated?

Let me put it this way. What is your opinion about this.
By giving Indonesia team a 2 1/2 star is actually overrated? or is it fair? Giving Sriwijaya team for examples (I love their jersey-that's why I know them). Will you give the real player, your countrymen, a 1/2 star (as an example-I don't have you patch at the moment), do you think you have judge them fairly?

I don't support anyone, including myself, If I do Malaysia national team and set it up as the superman patch, you understand me right.

What we, you and I, and may be the rest of amature patch maker, create our fifa09 patch fairly to our countrymen, to the game and to yourself. Use your own judgement, but don't force yourself to abide everything other people said. It's not actual, it's the perception. Do you Billy live in Indonesia right now? Do you watch your footballer play? What do you think about their way of playing football. Compare that to FIFA09. Do they play like Arsenal? Do their strength is equall to division 2 of english league. Do you think you team stink and your country stink or do you think they have the quality. FIFA09 is a game where we as the fan and luckily, a gamer, like to relive the match in our own PC. Imagine the excitement Indonesian football fans, they team win in the pitch, and after reaching home, the play FIFA09 with Indonesia patch created by you, Billy, and they win too. Or imagine, their team loosing with weaker team (they tought), and escapisme is just around the corner, switch on the PC and run FIFA09 and play Indonesia league created by you, and they help their team win against the opponent. if you can do that, than in my opinion, you already create a fairly, good rated patch. But don't bluff other community if sriwijaya can win easily in world-class against ManU or Real madrid. FIFA09 fans from that continent will surely hit on you. HEHEHE. Got me right?

Hi guys. I am back and it's good to see we've got a very good topic here.

I agree with skeptik that we need to propose a standard rating for the teams and leagues that we create. I also agree that it will be very difficult to do these ratings as you always have out-of-the-blue results in many Asian leagues.

I dont see why Asian clubs have something like the UEFA co-efficient.

An example would be Dempo SC reaching the semi-finals of the AFC Cup, something even I thought was not possible.

What I've done with the I-League patch is I've taken stats from the past 2 years and based on my observations from televison matches, I've assigned ratings to the players. Most players from the I-League have average ratings, a rare star like Bhutia and Chetri have a little higher rating as are the foreign players.

By the way I have taken the responsibilty of making the kits for JCT and Chruchill Brothers.

skeptik if you could make the kits for Mohun Bagan whose pictures I posted on the first page and East Bengal whose picture I will post tomorrow.

billy could you help with Vasco SC and Mahindra United? I will post some photos tomorrow.

If we manage to complete this patch by the end of the month maybe we could post the I-League, the J-League, the Indonesian League, the TM SuperLeague and tht Iran Professional League as a part of a bigger AFC Champions League patch.

I am still confirming the Chinese Super League and the Saudi Arabia League.

Also I think there was a Hong Kong League somewhere but I don't remember.

by the way, I have the Hongkong League HKFA league, and the Saudi Arabian League,, I don't know who made those patches,, but they need to be repaired, need some transfers and there are no kits in those patches,,

I have no time to make those kits for now,,
