I dont understand some people. If you can afford to buy pes3, you can also afford a cheap dvd player. And if its exspensive in your country which I highly doubt, you can always buy one off the internet.
so stop acting like you are on the edge of poverty DAMN!!:kader:
And if you dont have any money, try to find a job!

It is not about acting on the edge of poverty as you put it. From a business point of view, KONAMI is shooting themselves in the foot by making it harder for people to purchase the game without a DVD drive. How ***ing hard is it to understand a stupid business decision like that? When you are trying to compete with EA, you don't want to make it harder to sell the game. If FIFA2004 with more teams can fit in two CDs, why can't PES3? Don't tell me those gay celebrations movies take up all the space.

But why do I need a dvd in my pc? Just to play the damn pes3? I got a cd rom, ok I can get a used dvd player but why? I will not use it other than playing one game. Thats what pisses me off. Does Konami got any common sence in marketing? They are not even announcing it exactly on what platform their game will be on :kader:

MasterM, DaJuice have just stated a great point,

'KONAMI is shooting themselves in the foot by making it harder for people to purchase the game'

Ohh and I do have a well payed job and money, don't worry about that, its just it makes more sence for Konami to have the game on cd.

Don't worry bout MasterM, he's got 500 odd posts of pure negativity :p

Point still stands...Konami are sweating to get PES 3 PC out the door in time for Christmas. Say then, someone wants to buy a football game for their kid. PES3 and FIFA04 are side by side, PES3 is DVD only so they see it as incompatible with their system - 1 lost sale...repeat this scenario for the remainder of the Christmas rush.

Having a PC game exclusively available on DVD is a very poor decision by someone in Konami. Look at the shelves in your local game store - every other publisher realises that DVDs aren't necessary. No matter what the medium, the user is just going to dump all the data on their HD and use the disk for cd checks.

No point yelling at us, we're the ones who'll go to any length to play KCET's games. :)
