I think he will play very well for Spartak and then they will end up selling him to Juve or Real for like 30 million

damn that is weird.
Why wont River include Salas in the deal with Juve? They want to keep Salas from what I have heard....so just agree on a fee for Salas and a fee for Cavenaghi. Same thing in the end.

We don't want to keep Salas if it's going to cost money. He is constantly injured and misses important matches. We found a better replacement for him with the emergence of Maxi Lopez who did much better then Salas.

Add to that that Gaston Fernandez(Racing striker) who emerged as one of the Clausura's best players is owned by River plate and should be returning to the club for the Apertura.(Y)

This guy is destined to play for Juventus one day. And guessing by his last name (clearly italian) he prob has italian ancesters, so he'll get a passport with ease.

The sale of Maxi Lopez will allow us to keep Gallardo and Maxi Lopez according to our president. The ones who are leaving are Ameli (America of Mexico), Cavenaghi, and possibly Claudio Husain(Tigres of Mexico)

Husain is pretty average from what i've seen, Ameli played the Brasileirão for São Paulo in 2002 and he got sent off almost every match, ****e player. Cavenaghi is going to Russia, Abramovich is Russian, Cavenaghi plays well, you get the picture. Plus he's going to get a huge wage now. Daniel Carvalho (Brazilian U-23 international) plays in CSKA Moscow, Vagner Love is moving to Russia to the same club. Russian league will be pretty entertaining.

I read more info on the transfer. The fee was set at US $11.5 million with River receiving $9 million up front. The main stalling point in the transfer was the money up front as the article said there is about to be a russian bank crisis and River wanted to avoid any problems.

Ameli was simply phenomenal for River. One of the most passionate players I've ever seen and he would do anything possible to win. Rivals never liked his antics which at times were crazy but not everything in football is pleasant. I rank him about as insane as Paolo Montero. However, some of the things he's done though are nothing to be proud of.

I'm just rating him based on what i've saw in the Brazilian League. Indeed he looked better for River, but anyway, i still remember him hitting Pato in that Boca vs River match alongside with Gallardo. He's a thug in my book.

Damn.

I am glad to see his leave River :D

but why Spartak?

I think he would be a great fit for Spain

we'lll have to see what he can do

Russian league will be pretty entertaining.

it was always entertaining hardly any 0-0 scores ever but now it is going to be even better cause there is some great foreign players being supplied... hope this continues

it will be very sh*tty though if in the last minute they say it didn't work out and he stays at River

Help?

The Russian League has been recruiting south americans for years now, although none of them actually made that big of an impact, except Robson.

Lima Joins Lokomotiv Moscow

7/14/2004 1:42:00 PM

Brazilian midfielder Francisco Lima has signed a contract with Russian giants Lokomotiv Moscow.
The 33-year-old left Roma on a free transfer this summer, after three years with the Giallorossi.

This move signals the end of a five-year spell in Italy for Lima.

Lima has been one of several players to leave Roma this summer. Walter Samuel and Jonathan Zebina have both departed, while Emerson is likely to be on his way too.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Great news, Lima is a classy winger as he showed for Roma last season

Yeah but the amount of young stars is getting higher. Carvalho was a great player here in Brazil, dunno how he's doing in Russia. Vagner Love is a class act, great goal scorer and Cavenaghi is a guy with a bright future too.

Don't know, but today after watching Fox Sports World Report with Max Bretos Maximum Soccer, he said that Cavenaghi is really going to Russia, he also added that Russians have so much talents from all over the world in their league now, that he will ask FSW to televise Russian league! Meh, great suggestion too bad it will never happen :( .
