So im playing on my ML team (3 stars, havn't had the game for long), and I play a thru ball to theirry henry. It looks like he is going to be through on goal, but all of the sudden, BAM, some random newcastle defender w/ **** stats (I checked his speed / acceleration / etc) after the game catches up with henry, steals the ball, plays it to the corner to his team's striker. So my Roberto Carlos gives chase, tries to tackle about 50 times but eventually gets burned by another random guy with **** stats. The refs are insanely biased as well, some of the time I slide tackle, hit ball first, and then make contact with the player and I'll get yellow or even red carded. I've only seen the computer get yellow carded once or twice, and never red carded. I wish they could add difficulty to the game without making stats worthless or having cheating refs.

You need to practice more and complain less. Im not trynna start nothin with you but I just wanna let u know it takes practice. I've been playin since WE7 came out in Japan and now the game has gotten very easy on 5*

the computer cheats but eventually you will be so good that even when they cheat your still beating them 2-nil.

Its not like I'm getting beat on 3* or anything. I went all of last season undefeated (on 3*), having only 5 ties. I usually only win 1-0 through 3-0, but no more than that. I'm going to switch to 4* soon but im sure their players will just get faster and the refs will jus tget more biased.

Thank god I didn't buy this game.

Lazy coders ruined it. Oh well, time to uninstall, was an OK run I guess. Be nice if they actually spent some time making decent AI. Its impossible for you to tackle from behind or from the side, but the computer can do it easily. What a fat load of ****.

Seems like we have another person here who has never played real football in their life...

The computer does tackle from behind in the game, and thats the problem, Carlos*ass. So tell me this, do you play highschool or club soccer? I was on varsity as a Sophmore and my hs went to the State quarterfinals. I also play for a U-16 club team. So much for that arguement punk.

And to the dude telling me to go back to FIFA, yeah right, FIFA is ******* terrible.

You clearly don't like to experience the highs and lows of football. Stick with FIFA then, you glory hunting nonce.

With practice I can get away with most tackles. It seems the only time I get booked now is for the deliberate leg-breakers I go in for when opposing players annoy me.

Still get booked for the odd shove in the back but the randomness of this in the game just adds to the realism I think. The CPU gets booked more often than me in most games.

You're right, I don't like to experience the highs and lows of a FOOTBALL VIDEO GAME? Do you realize how retarded that sounds? And care to explain how I am a glory hunter? Because I don't like a VIDEO GAME that is based on a sport that I regularly play, I am a glory hunter. Christ, are you 5 years old? The phrase "glory hunter" is easily the most overused saying on these boards. And if you knew how to read, you'd see that I said FIFA was a steaming pile of trash, even moreso than this game.

I must agree in few aspects
We all know adventages of PES3 (real animations, gameplay, never score identically goal, emotions, amazing details & graphics, etc.)
but after 5 months of playing PES3 I see all these disadventages which sometimes make me furious:

- handplay (fixed in WE7:I)
- stupid fouls and I don't think about tackles ("Oh He pushed him down, it MUST be a freekick!")
- extremaly stupid headers, players usually even don't move their heads, it's look unnatural
- stupid shot system comparing to WE2k (I still play it sometimes), they should improve it and not to f** it
I don't know to explain how it works in WE2002, it's a lot of typin' :drevil: just d/l 18 mb rom from net, play it on emulator and you will see (it's an old game, they don't sell it now so I think it's not warez, you can d/l Mario Bros, it's the same)

and I agree it's just a video game, I'm not a kid to glory it forever coz I'm just bored with it sometimes (YES, BORED with PES3)

the game I'm not bored from few years is PES1 (played it on PSX, now emluated) and WE2k. They both have no excellent graphics and sound but I prefer them rather

still waitin' for a PERFECT GAME, so maybe PES4...

PS. to clarify: PES3 is fantastic game but just a game which make you bored, it have to magic I thought time ago (or the magic is sticking us for so long time (6 months to me)
fifa ofkoz sux but who knows what happen next years? though I'm almost sure that euro 2004 will be sux either, they had no time to totally rewrite fifa
and fifa stocked me for a 10 long bored minutes

PES3 is a realistic game, tell me, how often do you see a player go to slide tackle someone FROM BEHIND and successfully pull it off in real life? Almost never. And if you mean from behind and slightly to the side, then it is possible, your just crap.
Play, practice, then you may end up being good...

I agree with you that practice will improve your tackling skills, but seriously: do you think the tackling system in PES3 is good?
